I called the day ahead to ensure they were open day on Wednesday since we are at the holiday.
Lawd, have mercy the second time around was just as delicious. I order turkey leg yams and greens. It was flavorful and whew the tenderness of everything.
The vibe was amazing as always. Very friendly family business. The peach tea was everything instantly made it didn’t order two.
I pay for good food, and just know this soul food is worth it.

I was told most of everything I wanted was sold out due to an event over the weekend. (Beef items) overall, would try again. Cabbage had more pepper than I like, yams were not as sweet but together it was perfect combination. Chicken wings were decent. Oxtails were good. Rice needed somw butter but was good. Service was great. Please note only 4 tables inside so maybe best to get to go.

This restaurant is small but serves it purpose. Not really a spot to sit and eat because there’s no public restrooms. The food isn’t horrible but not the best. I’ve been here a few times no and this time I have to post. In the picture below is a meal that costed me $32. 2 pieces of chicken and paid extra for the two sides they call premium. Our Thanksgiving dinner was absolutely amazing! The portions were incredible — we had enough delicious food to last 2 to 3 days. The turkey legs and chicken breasts were super huge, tender, and full of flavor. Everything was hot, fresh, and seasoned perfectly. We were beyond satisfied and grateful for such a wonderful meal. Highly recommend!

The food and service was Amazing! I really wished that we bought double of everything. All cooked upon arrival, and tasted just like soul food at Thanksgiving!
Oxtails, Smothered Pork Chops, Catfish Filet, and Beef tips with yams, cabbage, Cajun corn, mashed potatoes, green beans, fried okra, and mac and cheese.
Heating up leftovers, which I typically don’t eat, was just as Amazing! Best on the planet for me. Not over salted and pretty perfect in my book! Gotta try it!

Yes I wanted to try this location out cause my mom was telling me to go try them. We’ll I went to try them out for the first time and it wasn’t bad but okay. I had ordered the oxtail dinner with two sides. (Oxtails, collard greens and yams. (Rice come with the oxtails). Plus I ordered the soul leg dinner and it come with three sides. ( soul leg, collard greens, cabbage and yams). Just beware the collard green are mixed greens not all collard greens. I grab two CPC teas. ( Strawberry and blackberry tea) Blackberry tea was better then the strawberry to me. I ordered all that and it came to 81.74. I was very happy that the food was not salty and sugary but they are very pricey. But I notice it didn’t have with any roll or cornbread. When I go to Lisa soul food off red bird they at least give you cornbread or roll, cake and drink with no extra charge with your meal. I might go back not sure. Please order over phone cause it take 20 to 25 minutes for walk in orders.

I went to this restaurant as a first-time visitor today. I ordered the beef tips meal with yams and greens. It came with cornbread and I ordered two pieces of hot water cornbread. First off the beef tips were way too salty. The cornbread was burned actually black and charred. The hot water cornbread is not hot water cornbread, it was greasy and it tastes like fried jiffy mix. I spent More than $35. This meal was not worth it. There are some very positive reviews online but I wanted to share my review to warn others. That was a lot of money for food that I basically had to throw away. Except for the yams, the yams were okay not great but okay. I will not come back. Nor do I recommend this place to others. We have better options in the metroplex.

Definitely worth a visit! Everything was hot and fresh. Pork Chops were perfectly seasoned and fried. Portions were of a good size of Mac & cabbage for my plate and I added a side of dirty rice, all delicious. All things ordered exceeded my expectations, and staff members were so warm and inviting, cute little spot with outdoor seating optional
