I ordered the Dolly Chicken Sandwich. It was inedible. The chicken was SO overcooked, there was no breading on the top of the chicken, and the breading that was on it was mushy. Also the bun was soppy and wet. The fries were cold, greasy, and mushy. There was one tiny pickle on the bottom of the sandwich. That was all I could stand to eat.

We were excited to give the place a try, but Dolly’s is certainly no Frisch’s. The horrible quality of the food is actually stunning.

The experience of this restaurant was most definitely not up to par with what I would have expected. After my family was finally seated, we tried an appetizer of onion rings, only to be given 5 little onion pieces, not even a “Real” appetizer. What made it worse was once I bit into the onion, nothing but the flour of the onion was even there! So, ok, maybe someone was just having a bad day and made a mistake…

After showing it to our waiter, the first words from his mouth (verbatim) were, “What the hell?!?!?!” Dumbfounded, I said, “Yep, that’s exactly what I was thinking, you stole the words right out of my mouth”. In haste, he immediately brought the food back to the kitchen, only later for a middled-aged woman to bring us a fresh plate and say, “Oh, well it’s not our fault, we are just very busy right now”. Ummmm……… Listen Linda, there is one thing in the world that gets you what you want, it’s quality over quantity.

After staying to myself, my wife and I then ate our food in hopes of things maybe turning around….. Nope! After taking the first bite of my burger, the meat was way too overcooked, and my wife’s food was as well. To not cause a scene, we just finished our food. As you will see from the pictures, my burger is the dark piece of beef that was overcooked, yet what made it worse was how the bread of each sandwich taste old and beyond tolerance.

For those that have not already come, imagine the bun of the McDonald’s Big Mac, used with a Rally’s double stack cheeseburger meat patty on the top and bottom of the sandwich, with lettuce and the rest of the toppings just thrown all together to make a sandwich and you have the new version of the “Super Big Boy” as many of us vintage Cincinnatian’s would call it.

After this VERY poor experience, I will never eat at this restaurant again, and I most definitely would not recommend anyone else to either. “Well, I liked the salad bar so that’s not something I’m worried about…” Yeah, you better think twice, their salad bar was ripped apart with food laying all over the bar and fingerprints all across the glass above their salad bar too. I would trust an old school McDonalds McSalad Shaker before I would the contents of that bar.

For the owners of Dolly’s, whatever you are aiming for the people of Cincinnati to receive is 100% not being provided at this location. I would strongly revise your staff, especially those in Management. Heck, the only person who even seemed to have the slightest bit of common sense was the guy that agreed with how ridiculous our food was.

The cutest little diner I’ve been to in Delhi. The lobby and the dining area were so clean and neat, the service was amazing and super fast, and the staff were so polite and kind. Amanda cashed us out and she was wonderful, one of the best dining experiences I had. I got the “best cheeseburger in the world” and the red relish was so yummy!! 🙂 If I’m in Delhi again, this is the first place I’m going to!

The first two times I ate here, the food was great, the service was wonderful. Recently, I ordered the meat lovers omelette. It took 40 minutes for our food to arrive (there were only 5 tables with patrons at the time, 12 noon. The food that I was served was inedible. I sent it away and left, as I had an appointment that I was going to be late for. I will never patronize here again.

Got a burger and fries and it was good. There’s a lot of meat on the burger too and it tasted great.

I went there yesterday with my mother and son. Food was excellent (we had burgers, soup, and scrambled eggs) and very affordable. The place was clean and the service was very good. We will definitely go back!

Saw the reviews prior to going in, but tried to have no expectations. Even though the place was full, we were welcomed in and almost immediately taken to our table by a very nice and friendly hostess. Our server was very friendly, got us our drinks and came back to take our order. The food came out within a very reasonable timeframe and it was better than I expected. The fried chicken sandwich (The Dolly) was good, hot, the chicken was cooked well and was moist. The chicken tenders were a nice size, and had good flavor as well. The Philly cheesesteak was pretty tasty and the fries had good flavor. We saw another table had waffle fries that also looked good. The staff is mostly all new and young, but we had a good experience with everyone. Would definitely come back to try the breakfast items.

Waitress, Miranda was exceptional, she has 5 star waitress abilities. However, the cooks ….SUCKS. Food was horrible. Who puts pickles on an over cooked fish sandwich? Onion rings had a choke hold on me. WON’T be back!

I visited last weekend and had breakfast. We got there around 8 am and it was empty except for one man already seated. We waited 3-4 minutes for someone to come out from the back but could hear them talking. The waitress came out and was very friendly, asked where we wanted to sit and got our juice and water. She came back about 5 minutes later and took our order. She had a very upbeat personality and you could tell she was a people person. The food was warm but as far as taste, it was nothing remarkable ( basic pancakes) my niece liked her meal but was disappointed the breakfast bar was not open. The restaurant started to get busy and she was the only waitress working so we finished our meal and she did not return to see if we wanted anything else. Again, she was the only one there working. I could tell the customers knew her well and must be regulars. We went to pay and I left a tip with my credit card. I asked for a receipt and the lady just handed me back the ticket that showed what I bought. I told her I needed a full receipt showing the total including the tip and I felt like she seemed to be put out that she had to print something out. I would probably go again and try something new. I have done the drive thru 3 times and 2 of those times what I ordered was not available by the time I got to the window.

Great old-school feel, food, and service from Dolly’s in Anderson Township! Sheryl was our waitress and she was delightful.

I say old-school because it doesn’t have all the self-service options of modern restaurants, but that’s part of the charm. You get the opportunity to interact with the kind and helpful waitstaff.

The food is great diner food. The breakfast bar has a decent selection of traditional American breakfast food, all of which is delicious. The traditional plated breakfast options are good and quite plentiful.
