I stumbled onto this spot while on a work trip. It was lunch time and I was in the mood for a nice sandwich. So I decided to give this place a try. Right when I walked in I noticed how clean the place was, which I appreciate greatly. They had just opened so I was the only customer. I placed my ordered at the counter. Their menu has so many great sounding sandwiches. But I decided to go the REO Speedwagon and a side house salad. Along with an iced tea. I sat down at a booth and my food arrived shortly after. The sandwich had a nice helping of quality meats, fresh produce and the sour dough bread was perfection. The salad was also very good and the perfect size. Overall everything tasted great and at a reasonable price. The staff were all friendly and provided prompt service. I will definitely come here again when I’m in the area.

Sandwhich was average. The server was very helpful explaining the reward system on the app. The dining room is clean and inviting. Had lunch around 10:45a and was not busy. Food was ready in less than 5mins.

We love Eric’s Deli! Eric’s in Capitola is one of our regular haunts and we’ve been coming for years especially when we have a craving for soup and half sandwiches. Everything is freshly made and the place is clean.

The Erik Burger was not as good as I remember it from years ago… not enough onions, mayo was kind of weird, and the bun was a hoagie roll, and pretty stale at the ends.

Might give it another try. The carrot cake was pretty decent.

I went to get some dinner there tonight. The salad was fine but I was asked to leave in the middle if my meal because they were closing (a fact they did not mention when I ordered). I’ve been a long time patron of Erik’s but will not return. That was so rude.

I’ve heard the argument that designing your own sandwich IE subway/togos is ideal but in my opinion let the restaurant perfect the sandwiches they want to serve and deliver on their best foot. That’s what Eric’s deli cafe is. Selection is limited to their best which is great for those moments of decision paralysis.

I’d recommend the raging bull but everything I’ve tried has been good at a minimum

Unfortunately, the Eric’s on 41st Ave has gotten really poor. The last two times I have ordered food to go, they have gotten it wrong, and not like it was a special request and they made it wrong, like gave me the complete wrong thing. I got clam chowder instead of beef stew, and this last time I ordered a Reuben, that is supposed to be warm, and on the swirl bread, but what I got cold pastrami on sour dough. Its just poor, and disappointing because I have been coming here for years and the food is still very good, but service, not so great, and as its to go, I never notice till home.

I cannot believe my good fortune in finding this Erik’s. There are 3 young women who work here, and one is more courteous and competent than the next. Erik’s food generally is good, but rude staff has kept me away from other locations.

But this location is consistently excellent! I hope these three ladies are appreciated and acknowledged by their management, as they truly are exceptional!
