This is a cool place to eat and hang. They have different food and drink options to choose from such as tacos, chicken, pizza, pasta, donuts, ice cream, and different bars.
I have tried 3 different places already and food was delicious. Staff is generally friendly and service is quick.

Block 40 is a lively food hall with plenty of options, but parking is definitely limited. Once inside, the atmosphere is fun and vibrant, with a huge screen TV that adds to the entertainment vibe. The bar offers a good range of drinks to go with your meal. I went for the pasta, and it was delicious. They didn’t skimp on the portion size either, so it’s definitely a satisfying meal. Between the food variety, the big-screen entertainment, and the social bar scene, Block 40 makes for a great spot to hang out, though the parking situation could be better.

I came here for dessert after dinner nearby. There was a donut area and ice cream both had large menus. I got the vanilla soft serve with cherry dip and my husband got some of the donuts (he said best donuts he’s had). It was a cool spot with friendly staff and unique artwork. The bar area was super cool and I will be back to watch a game sometime soon.

This place is fantastic if you’re looking for variety and entertainment all in one spot. There are multiple cafés to choose from, so everyone can find something to their taste. One of the highlights is the large movie screen where something is always playing, making for a fun and lively atmosphere. It’s great to grab a meal or snack and enjoy it while catching whatever’s on the big screen. The overall vibe is relaxed yet exciting, and it’s definitely worth a visit if you want a casual evening out with friends or family.

Large, artsy food collaborative located right off Young Circle in the old 1924 Great Southern Hotel. Beautiful Mediterranean Revival style windows light up the space. Colorful murals. Many unique vendors including a specialty donut shop, Indian street food and a full bar. Free mini movie theater. Retro pinball machines. Order by scanning the QR code on each table or by walking up to the restaurants. Food will be brought to your table. Outdoor seating area but no umbrellas to protect you from the sun or rain. Will definitely be back.

Was in the area looking for a place to eat chicken wings and we were in for a surprise. This place is amazing! At first we thought it was a restaurant but it turns out you have lots of different foods to eat from and also an ice cream place. You just enter, sit and order from your table and they will bring the food to you. The place is beautiful. They even got like movie seatings in front of a big screen to watch sports. We’ll be coming again for sure!

I love seeing a historic building in its glory and the Mediterranean Revival designed Great Southern Hotel overlooking ArtsPark is looking its best with a new facade of striped canopies over the arched windows. The new Block 40 Food Hall now occupies the first floor of this historic building. The Great Southern Hotel was built by the founder of Hollywood, Joseph W. Young in 1924 and the construction workers who built the city stayed here. Through the years it was a popular vacation destination before closing in 1991. It was restored and reopened in 2021.
Block 40 Food Hall is Hollywood’s first food hall and it is operated by Society 8 Hospitality, which also runs Sistrunk Marketplace & Brewery in Fort Lauderdale, Park & Ocean, and Wild Thyme Oceanside Eatery in The Atlantic Hotel & Spa on Fort Lauderdale beach. Here you will find 10 dining stalls, a restaurant Loco Ocho, a large central bar, games like darts, and a sidewalk patio with a view of the park. Customers order food and drink by using a QR code like at Sistrunk Marketplace.
Block 40 Food Hall vendors include Dalmoro’s Fresh Pasta to Go, Vons Asia Kitchen, Catch Hollywood, Hangry Joe’s, CHO:TU, Phastbreak Cheesesteaks, C.L.A.S.S. Burger, Donut Cream, and Hollywood Creamery. On the day I visited the whole food hall was watching the soccer match between Spain and England. Upcoming events include Biz to Biz Networking, Weekly Tap Takeover, and Live Music. I like the variety of food vendors offering different cuisine, drinks, and desserts.
Downtown Hollywood needed a place like this where people can hang out and stop in for a drink or a bite to eat. This spacious and bright food hall fulfills a need in the community for a gathering place. It is great to see such an iconic Hollywood landmark filled with life again.

This was a really cool spot. Came here for ice cream at Hollywood ice cream, it was nice and creamy. The food hall has about 6-8 restaurants for food options and a huge bar in the middle. They have a big screen where you can watch sports and you sit in almost movie chairs, it’s a great hidden gem. Highly recommended.
