First timers, good food, very tasty, the salmon though was not as pictured. The best was the tomato basil soup. Got a bit busy and they only had one waitress (very nice lady) did not tried the pastries , maybe next time. Definitely coming back for the pastrami sandwich ☺️ there is a fee by paying with credit card.

I tried Borscht and chopped liver for the first time- worth the experience and would order again! 1/2 a ruban with the Israeli salad was a great meal and those dr browns sodas really go well with the savory selections. Next time ill try dessert. Great service, perfect food; we almost cleaned the plates!

While searching for a good pastrami sandwich I came across an article in a respectable travel mag listing the top Jewish delis in the country. This place was high enough on the list to risk the 30-minute drive to satisfy a craving. It did not disappoint! I ordered the grilled pastrami Reuben with a side of latkes. There was easily a 1/2# of delicious, warm meat surrounded nicely by kraut, Swiss cheese and a briney Russian dressing with a touch of sweetness. The potato cakes were like the best Tots you’ve ever had, only in hockey puck form in the best way. I ordered a Matzo Ball soup to go. It was a meal by itself. The fist-sized ball was tender and almost meaty. A bit pricey. But under today’s circumstances it’s still a solid value.

This place claims to pay tribute to legendary delis around the country… Katz, Ikea and Manny’s to name a few.
Only thing they have in common is the price. The food is good… But the size of the legendary sandwiches are not even close.
I hate giving a bad review when the food is good .. just way overpriced.. for their claims

Visited on a Sunday evening and there was plenty of parking and seating. We were seated immediately upon arriving.
There is a bar area with seating as well as booths and tables.
We had a party of two and ordered kettle chips, tomato bisque soup, salad, and a Rueben with corned beef.
All of the food was excellent and definitely recommend. We were so hungry, we dug right into the food prior to taking pics except the soup!
We ordered some coconut vanilla cake for some dessert.
If you’re in the area, be sure to check this place out!

My takeout brisket sandwich was tough, terrible and rubbery.
The collagen never broke down, totally under-rendered and overly fatty.
Meat seems like it wasn’t rested correctly, and was wrapped too soon. The seasoning was even gross.
I wanted to find something good to say, but it was a $20 that went straight into the garbage.

The rueben is so good. I got extra sauerkraut and no dressing or cheese and it was still amazing. the service is friendly and quick. the pickle plate was fun but the pickled tomatoes were way too strong.

We had a nice lunch at the Deli
Rueben sandwiches were very good, but not excellent. The Corned beef was plentiful and tender, but the rest of the sandwich was rather plain.
Prices were high for Dayton, but we knew that gong in.

Honestly it was great, I just don’t think I’ll ever come back. $17 for a deli sandwich was a bit too much. It was a great sandwich, but I dunno, feels like I could go to Dorothy Lane next door, buy their overpriced but high quality ingredients, and make 5 sandwiches for the price of 1 here.
Edit: based on the response, I will 100% be going back for the special. I may not be able to afford the nicer sandwiches but $9.99 is a sweet spot for me. Upping my rating from 3 to 4 stars since honestly the quality is great.

Went in the afternoon, it was pretty busy. Had a grilled corned beef, with Swiss cheese, thousand island dressing and sauerkraut, and the hand cut fries with horseradish mustard dipping sauce. The meal was absolute perfection. Came out hot, sandwich had meat piled on and all the other ingredients were added in good proportions, meat was tender and the flavor was very very good. Definitely will be going back, the fries were some of the best I’ve ever had and the dipping sauce was surprisingly delicious. Never been to a NY style deli but this is exactly what I expected it to be like. A little pricey, don’t let that discourage you. Don’t miss out!
