The shave ice here was TO DIE FOR!
Nothing but good things to say. I recommend trying the wedding cake flavor. Seriously. Take my word on it

On Oahu for 1.5 months and trying a lot of shave ice spots: this with the natural flavors option is by far my above and away favorite. Highly recommend.

Shave ice was good. They had 5 natural flavor options which was good but wish the list had been bigger. Overall, it was still pretty good.

If you’re going to shave ice, shave ice Obama style. Great local option close to Kailua beach near to where the Obama’s vacation and the shave ice is solid. Didn’t love the flavoured mochi addon, I’d go with the plain version next time so it doesn’t fight with the other flavours. Parking in the lot. Clean space. Fast service.

This is an easy stop for shave ice after spending time at Lanikai Beach. There is plenty of parking onsite. This is President Obama’s favorite shave ice place! There are two sizes and the standard shave ice includes vanilla ice cream and 3 classic flavors. If you want the natural flavors, it’s an extra $1.25. you order by telling them them info on the following order: size, ice cream, and add-ons. You tell them what flavor of syrup you want after you pay and your ice has been made. I got natural guava and mango with mochi and condensed milk. Their mochi comes from Nisshodo and it tasted great! The shave was was pretty decent. The guava syrup was good but I thought the mango syrup was really lacking in flavor. Overall, it’s not a bad stop for shave ice but my didn’t taste super flavored. If I were to go back, I might ask for more syrup.

Such good shave ice! I love their tart and sour flavors, changes up the experience.
Ice cream provides a good flex option for the kiddos too.
We keep coming back here!

Not my favorite shave ice. I tried the other location a few years back and remembered liking it. I didn’t even realize they had this location. When I entered it into Google Maps, I thought I was going to the original one.
The ordering system is a bit confusing because you order the flavors AFTER your shave ice is made. You can order up to three flavors without them charging you extra. You also have to know which category of flavors you’re ordering from since the the natural flavors are more expensive. I ended up getting Wacky Watermelon, Pali Pog, Mele Melona, with a snowcap. They all tasted pretty much the same. Aside from the color, I couldn’t really tell the flavors apart. Also, the texture of the ice isn’t that fine. There were quite a bit of ice chunks, which I don’t like. Hubby got his with ice cream and that was just a disaster. They put the ice cream at the bottom, which would be fine if it was a bowl. But they put it in a cup, so you basically have to eat all the shave ice on top first, then eat the ice cream with the melted shave ice. Plus the ice cream freezes the shave ice in its vicinity, so that becomes a big chunk. Not appetizing.
Don’t think we’ll be back.

Was very disappointed today getting shave ice. This place used to have a great selection of sugar-free shave ice flavors. We planned the day around stopping and for some reason they got rid of them!
