Social Profile:

The French Touch is a small restaurant owned by a french man that has been leaving on the island for the last 35 years. So, of course, the food is a mix of local and carribean island food with a French Touch. Our Caribbean chef will give you the multicultural taste of Sint-Maarten in a bite. If you feel like having an amazing red tuna salad, you’re welcome. A pasta craving ? Don’t hesitate. No time to eat ? Grab a sandwich and you’re good to go. Want a fresh home made juice or an iced coffee ? We got you. Need to celebrate ? Pina Colada, Mimosas or rosé, even Champagne at your convenience. There are no excuses to not go to the French Touch, and we promise you won’t forget it.

5 stars: I’ve been coming to St Maarten for years as I have family here. I never stopped here until I ran into my relatives eating here.

I decided to come back the next day. What I like most is they serve healthy options. They also have vegan and vegetarian options as well.

They have inside and outside seating. The owner always seems to be on sight and deeply invested in the business. The food is AWESOME and the prices are very fair.

The serve breakfast, lunch and drinks.

We had the Ahi Tuna which is served either a seaweed salad. You can have potatoes or French fries as well. They were very courteous and they do also take credit cards.

They are open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 am to 5 pm. Last service is at 3:30 pm. They are closed on Sunday.

I would highly recommend them for a great breakfast or lunch.

This place is a hidden gem on a quiet street in the middle of bustling shopping area. We stumbled upon our old time friends who happened to spend their vacation on the island and they recommended this place. We followed their advice and were very pleased. Food is delicious and the owner is very nice. Great atmosphere for taking a lunch break during shopping spree!

Phenominal food! Quaint little place in Phillipsburg right in the jewelry section of town. We went twice because the first time blew us away!
JP is the hands on owner and a very friendly gentleman.
They have a daily menu and specials as well. The food was excellent both times and he has a good wine selection to accompany.
Our first meal was a Chicken Marsala and the sauce was superb, however we forgot to take a photo of our second meal.

We stopped by The French Touch for brunch one morning and could not be more pleased! I will be dreaming of the delicious ham and cheese baguette I ordered. My husband enjoyed the salmon baguette, and both of us loved the salad that came with the sandwiches – that dressing was so good! We both enjoyed an iced coffee – highly recommend – very refreshing.

The little cafe itself is unassuming but very clean, breezy, and tucked in a beautiful alley. We sat inside but the outdoor seating also looked lovely!

The owner was gracious and let me sit inside while waiting for my husband to park nearby. The service was attentive but not overbearing.

The French Touch is delightful. On colorful, charming Old Street with lovely tables outside and an awning to protect from the occasional refreshing afternoon shower. The owner may seem a little gruff, but really he is very charming. The food is fresh, simple and very French. There is no rush. Enjoy!

Hidden on a quiet street and shaded with umbrellas, The French Touch was perfect for a lunch during the hottest time of the day.
I really liked the seared tuna with ginger sauce and mashed potatoes- very well put together! The family liked their meals too – quiche and goat cheese sandwich.
The food is reasonably priced -57$ for 3 meals plus a bottle of water and one soda.
Unfortunately, they were out of avocados and i could not try their salads that look great on the pictures.
We were also told that the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays – so plan accordingly or check with the restaurant.

We really loved stopping by and enjoying a simple yet delicious meal here …

The flavours are classic yet punchy from the rich creamy garlic shrimp in a cream sauce to the chicken filet with also a cream sauce but a mushroom variation

The mango juice ordered was actually puréed mango and the mojito quite tasty … a little small for my taste but …

Off the immediate beaten path but super classy with its outdoor bistro style tables

Reasonable cost and good value

And JP (I think that was his name) is a really great no no nonsense waiter !!

There was a great breeze for the outdoor seating in the alley. It was fun to see JP interact with his regular customers. Their French style omelets are incredible! If we are ever back in St. Marteen, we will definitely come back!

The homemade juice was delightful and refreshing. We all loved our lunch meals; shrimp and salad, seared tuna and salad, and goat cheese sandwich. We chose the outdoor seating.
