Another Sunday and another BBQ plate lunch to highlight.
This week is LeBouef’s Restaurant. They serve plate lunches all week long, but my favorite is the Sunday BBQ. This is one of the cheaper Sunday BBQ spots at around $12 a plate. You get a bang for your buck because one plate can make two meals. Some of my favorite things are the BBQ Chicken, the Rice Dressing, and the Coleslaw, which is big for me cause I am not a fan of many people’s coleslaw.

BBQ Chicken : Rice Dressing, & double Coleslaw
BBQ Pork Steak : Rice Dressing, Coleslaw & Potato salad.

We came in for a Sunday lunch. The line was to the front door at 11. That’s about 35 people. The line does move fast. You can take it to go or eat at their tables. These patrons are ALL local. This is not a tourist trap. Everything was awesome. One meat and two sides besides the rice dressing. I had the brisket and my wife had the bbq chicken. It’s a half chicken. Potato salad and mac They had run out of ribs before I got to the counter. Don’t expect fancy decor

Easily the best place around here for seafood plate lunches. It’s cooked just right and you can actually taste the food and not just salt and pepper. All of the food was awesome home cooking at it’s best, and very generous portions. The fried fish and shrimp were awesome too.

That plate didn’t stand a chance. It was too good, Sha. Also the server Maddy was very kind and deserves a raise! Get the spaghetti.

The food is always good. Best fried chicken in town. Friday seafood selection is wonderful. Portions are consistantly adequate. Everything taste good. Potato salad is made fresh. Get there for lunch before 12:30. After that the selection gets thinner. Clean.

I ate here with a car club this evening. Normally they are closed in the evening but opened for this catered event. It was a Thanksgiving buffet of good Cajun food. The locals love the food here. Nothing fancy but if you want great Cajun food, this is the place

Great food, especially Friday and Sunday menu. They lose three stars for their horrendously rude staff. From the person taking orders on the phone that acted like me asking for list of sides available was the worst thing ever to the cashier being very disrespectful. There are plenty of other plate lunch places, so I’ll be taking my money there instead.

Same mediocre lunches everyday with rice and gravy that I can only assume was made with a brown gravy powder or something. Def not a true gravy. Seafood Friday’s are good though. If you want to pay $15+ for a lunch. I for one don’t.
