I was delighted to find good craft beer on tap while visiting. This is the place to go in town if you’re wanting something crafty to drink. The beertender was awesome too. He gave some awesome suggestions on places to visit. I wish I could remember his name to name drop him because he was absolutely wonderful.

Been coming here since the first night. This is not some basic bar this is a community staple. This is where favorites are found and friendships are made. The addition of OverRuled Smash Kitchen has been a fantastic pairing.
Building up the downtown has been a goal of of Clove Hitch, which they continue to do with each day, every run club, every event they host for this community.
And they have the best Oktoberfest in Jacksonville NC.
Recommend is an understatement.

I visit Jacksonville several times per year from San Diego. My daughter and family reside on Camp Lejeune. We were excited when this place opened up a few weeks ago. It fills a glaring need for a craft beer pub in Jacksonville. This town had none. I come from an area that has literally hundreds of them.
My daughter is a craft beer enthusiast and she will likely be visiting this place more often than I am since she lives here, but I thought it would be helpful to leave my thoughts. I like the atmosphere and the decor. The beer selection is a good start, but can use a few beers from the west coast to add variety. I’d be more than willing to offer some suggestions.
My only real “complaint” is that my 63-year-old eyes had a hard time reading the very small print on the very small beer menu. They also had no large over-the-bar beer menu…common where I come from….which enables you to view the beer list from across the room. So my primary suggestion would be to offer a slightly larger beer menu with larger font size so folks like me can read the beer list!

It was our first time here, we stopped in real quick for one. Bartender was really sweet and friendly. Atmosphere is nice, clean and relaxing, I love the greenery all around. Also the signs in the bathroom are cool. All around impressive place. Definitely would like to come back.

We enjoyed our stop here. It was on a Sunday evening and pretty slow, but our server Sean took great care of us. We also got a burger from the attached restaurant and it was fantastic!

This is an awesome spot with a great atmosphere and a fantastic selection. The owner Kevin knows what a good beer tastes like, it’s undeniable, his local NC selection was spot on. The clove hitch doesn’t sell their own food but they do share a doorway with a bomb ramen spot so food is available. This is exactly what downtown Jacksonville needed. I could not recommend this spot anymore than I already am!!! Get there!
