We went here for breakfast, but the place was severely understaffed. One gentleman was taking orders, making breakfast, cleaning tables, and doing everything on his own. We originally wanted a full breakfast but changed our minds after seeing how backed up it was and ordered a bagel with cheese to go instead. During our visit, several people left after waiting in line too long. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place at all.

We came in as a group of 14 and were blown away by how smoothly everything went. We grouped some tables together quickly and the sole cook managed to get a wide range of orders out in no time—impressive service all around.
The food was excellent across the board. Thick-cut bacon was a standout, and the home fries hit that perfect balance of crispy on the outside and tender inside. One in our group declared the ham and cheese croissant the best they’ve ever had. The coffee was solid, and the hot chocolate—made with real milk—was a cozy treat.
The space was clean, bright, and welcoming. We left full and happy. Highly recommend!

This restaurant was suggested while we were waiting in the Egan Convention Center, 3 blocks away, and needed to eat. We chose to come here, due to the nearness. After seeing the chalk board menu advertising the quiche, I found that it was not available, so we ordered the smoked turkey sandwiches. The portions were large, and OK tasting.
There was one person attending this restaurant; he was the owner, the order taker, the food preparer, and the person one paid.
There are restrooms, which were clean. We walked in, so I didn’t check the parking.
The owner was not especially friendly, but he was not rude. The restroom had only two other patrons, so it was not busy.

Awesome breakfast. Both scrambles, salmon and reindeer sausage, were excellent. Excellent coffee. Kitchen potatoes are great as well. One man shop, so tables were “crumby” and most customers help out by busing their own tables. Closed in the weekends or we’d be back.

Asked if the quiche was available after seeing the large sign on the entry wall. Was rudely informed “no” (I guess they don’t have an eraser ). Bacon was extremely salty and potatoes dripping in grease. No butter or jam for the toast. Service was non-existent. Apparently he was having a bad day. Found a 6″ long hair in the blueberry muffin on a previous visit. BIG mistake to go back.

We ordered croissant breakfast sandwiches. The croissants were light and flaky. Overall pretty good.
We seem to have missed the “friendly service”. Don’t ask for any clarifications on the menu!
It looked like only one person was working to take orders, cook food, and clean tables. Needless to say the tables were being cleaned. Napkins were only available by request (but after what happened while ordering we were remiss to ask for extra napkins to clean the tables).
The cafe in general needs a little upkeep.

Best breakfast in Anchorage. Try the Miami Special (Bagel with smoked salmon, tomato, onion, and capers topped with a fried sunny-side-up egg). Don’t forget to add Tabasco and wash it down with black coffee.

7:20 am, I am only customer. Owner/chef pleasant. Food order was done to perfection. Over hard eggs and very crispy bacon – both perfect! Cappacino, very good. By the time I left two other tables were occupied. I had a great experience and would come here again.

A strange positive relaxed experience. A one man show. I’m not sure if a employee called in sick or if he always works alone.
Customers took it in stride, got their own coffee refills, water, etc and bused their own dishes when they finished their food.
Do not expect fast service.
Prices are reasonable for Anchorage, however we had a strange experience paying. Our bill came to $36 but we were charged $39. The strange thing is we were again overcharged at another restaurant for lunch. Strange it happened 2 times on the same day.
Tourists be aware of what the cost of your food is. Note: no food tax in Anchorage.
