The service was absolutely amazing. We arrived and were seated immediately. Our food came out quickly. The live music was great, as a cover band played music from several genres. I recommend trying the cream of crab soup and beef wellington. This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating was comfortable when it was 18 degrees outside. The restaurant is extremely well staffed, the staff was friendly, professional and well trained. The restaurant and the bathroom was clean. I highly recommend this restaurant for a date night, outing with friends, drinks with the girls or a lovely evening with your teenagers.

I get to go orders often. Probably the 2nd time its been wrong in the last month or so. Ordered Mac &cheese with crab and no crab. Unfortunately didnt see it until I drove home. Parking is tight here as well. Food is great and the restaurant is beautiful. Quality control needs some work.

The Local is by far one of my favorite spots for both brunch and dinner. On our most recent visit, we ordered the breakfast platter, avocado toast, and the mimosa flight — everything was absolutely perfect. The food was fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced, and the overall experience was excellent from start to finish.
Every time we come in, we’re greeted warmly and always have a great experience. Katlyn, the manager, has checked in with us during our last few visits and truly makes a difference. She goes out of her way to make sure everything is running smoothly and that guests are happy, and she’s always welcoming and pleasant to talk with. Her involvement and attention to detail really elevate the atmosphere and show how much she cares about both the restaurant and its customers.
Highly recommend The Local for great food, great prices, and consistently wonderful service.

I went out tonight expecting an amazing meal and a peaceful evening. Sadly, I was seated next to those who were celebrating their anniversary…It should have been an amazing night for them but the lady complained about everything they had. I gather after five glasses of paid wine, and one on the house, she was rendered psychotic, because what came out of her mouth was hideous. Not only was her “ketchup” that she complained loudly about, an actual sauce that included, surprise, ketchup, along with many other ingredients, mentioned right on the menu…but her Chicken Marsala with “peppers and onions” was also noted on the Price Fix menu, it included a vegetable of the day. If she would have asked what the vegetable of the day was she would have known it was a medley of red peppers, onions, zucchini, and yellow squash . Not to mention if you “despise” peppers and can’t eat them you would mention it, thats common sense! However, after that much alcohol I gather common sense is lost! Not only was our waitress/bartender Nadia professional and calm; but the manager Katlyn tried her best to remedy her complaints with offerings of something without the “horrific ingredients”. I have lived in Harford County my entire life; and that’s been a pretty LONG time; and I can honestly say The Local is not only a class act. but not once have I had a meal that hasn’t been stellar! Thank you for all those who work in hospitality for all they offer those of us who are getting out to enjoy life! And enjoying life is what it is all about! Life is too short to be miserable. I pray for her peace!

This was my first time at The Local, was excited to go with my girlfriend for Valentines day. Our waitress was knowledgeable and met all of our needs. The atmosphere was good, nice intimate setting sitting in the back. The food is where it was disappointing. Everything except the cream of corn seemed like it was missing something and very bland. The filet was one of the most tender filets ive ever had but it lacked quality taste. The mussels were decent and the grilled oysters were on par but my girlfriend thought they were bland. Her salmon and risotto was also lacking on taste. The beet risotto i got on the side was again bland and the most disappointing Only thing that gave it taste was the beets. It felt like the kitchen ran out of seasonings or because it was the end of the night they stopped caring about quality. Very disappointing. I do plan on going again to get the beef wellington with my girlfriend at some point. Hopefully its a better experience and I can update my review.

Had a wonderful experience at the local for dinner. We were seated on the heated patio that was filled with holiday decor as well as a live band and bar. The service was personable and even asked about allergies beforehand! The holiday cocktails were delicious and some were served table side with some whimsical touches. The food was also just as delicious and fresh, the baked brie was smoky and warmed to perfection and the butternut squash bisque the flavor was excellent. I was enjoying myself so much that I honestly wasn’t able to take pictures! I would highly recommend going it was a very cozy and exciting atmosphere and was even greeted at our table by the newest manager Katlyn who also gave us some great recommendation’s and really made the environment

This place never disappoints. Rainy day brought us in and it was worth it. Service was a little slow even though the place wasn’t busy. Late lunch was great, food was hot and portion size was big! The Wagyu chili had so much meat in it, I was impressed! The short rib grilled cheese was melt in your mouth, amazing! Simply yum!!!

We just left, and the service was top-notch! The food and drinks were just as impressive. The Thai mussels had a lovely amount of spice, and I found myself wanting to drink the broth. My husband had saved this place for us to visit, and it was definitely worth it. If you enjoy road trips, make sure to detour and stop here—you won’t regret it!

Great place to celebrate a special occasion without driving downtown. Quality of food was excellent – local, well seasoned, with something for everyone on the menu. Fish and short rib was perfectly cooked. We especially enjoyed the cocktails, although I *do not* recommend the lackluster happy hour options for food (wings and mussels pictured). Spent almost $200 on this meal with tip, so will only come back sparingly.
