I decided to check this place out because I am thinking of moving into the Hallsville area and this place has some amazing reviews. I was NOT disappointed, I LOVED everything about this place from the decor, the owner chatting with me and the food was excellent….. the whole lunch experience was flawless and I will be back, for sure!!! I strongly recommend for a taste of some amazing Mexican food in Hallsville and Longview for that matter!

Ordered two plates to go that cost over $30.00. Was not worth half the price. Chicken breast and shrimp was dry and old. Very small portions and very expensive. I don’t mind paying good $$$ for good food even if they serve small portions but this food was definitely not worth it. Warning to all because I had seen the bad ratings but gave them the benefit of the doubt. DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!

Ate here quite a bit when I first moved to the area. I started noticing the quality of food wasn’t up to par. I discontinued dining here when I found a green rubber band in my hot sauce. That tells me they didn’t bother to remove the rubber band from the cilantro and wash it properly before making the sauce. Kinda got grossed out. The staff is really nice though.

The place is filthy and food is bland. I tried eating there on 4 or 5 occasions and it’s always the same. They don’t seem to put alot of focus on cleanliness of the dining room or dishes so I am sure the kitchen is equally unkept. My daughter wanted some candy from the gumball machine on the way out. I put the money in, dispensed the candy and when I opened the flapper door it looked so disgusting in there I couldn’t let her eat it.

This place is amazing! If you love Mexican food you need to try Marisols. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. I had the steak fajitas and they were the best fajitas I have ever had! They came out sizzling like they are suppose to. I highly recommend you try this restaurant!

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area! I love the friendly service especially if Marisol is serving you. Salsa is so good and the fiesta nachos are amazing. I almost always have to take them home as leftovers because the portions are so generous!

I ate there with a friend for her birthday. The food was sooooo bad. To top it off it made both of us sick. I am sure her birthday in the restroom was a blast! The red sauce tasted like it was made with rotten tomatoes, green was very bitter tasting, sweet tea was soured, service was not. We never got refills or the extra napkins we ask for. This place is very very bad don’t waste your time or money here.

Used to be one of our favorite place, but things have changed…while the food is “OK” (used to be awesome) it seems to be mostly store bought these days. Portion sizes have gotten small (our tamales were barely as long as the the times on our forks and the guacamole I ordered appeared to about a teaspoon, what a ripoff) and the presentation on the plate was sloppy and haphazard, at best. It is as if the kitchen hands quit caring and it shows through their quality and appearance…sad thing to say of this once “small town favorite” of ours. Maybe they will right the ship, maybe not, we will see.

We come here when passing through Hallsville. The food is wonderful and the restaurant is very quiet and not usually busy. One person mostly does everything so expect to wait sometimes but she does a great job. I recommend Marisol’s!

I love Marisol’s! Their rice is absolutely delicious and it’s not like any other! The seven layer dip is the best thing I’ve ever eaten. The best part is getting to visit with sweet Marisol.
