Stopped in to try Delh Bistro. An older gentleman greeted me at the door and seemed to be the only person working there. I sat at the bar and was given a not-so-clean menu. Resturants should realize how much a non-grimey menu represents them. I was politly informed that they were take-out only; didn’t have the entire menu selection available; they mainly had vegan dishes; and the meat dish was primarily the Chicken Marsala. So I went with that and rice and samosas….all the popular choices! Food took quite a while about 20min…which is a good sign in my book for freshly cooked. It smelled great on the ride home and I popped a samosa in my mouth to try one out. I’m sorry I did that cuz I had to stop myself from finishing them all and ruining my dinner. The samosas are bit-sized and have a nice unexpected kick to them. SPiCy! I’m not a fan of spicey, but this was pleasantly tolerable because it didn’t overpower and complimented the flavor. In fact, that can be said about the whole meal. A well-flavored, homestyle meal with a complimentary kick! The food was still piping hot when I arrived home..another sign of being freshly made and not microwaved! I liked the watery-ness of the Marsala and mixed it with the rice. Again, good flavor, decent kick, and felt like a home-cooked meal! I also got the garlic Naan bread and enjoyed that too. I didn’t taste much garlic tho. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal there and will stop in again. Don’t judge this book by its cover. There’s good food inside!

Being a lover of Indian cuisine I become extremely excited to try new locations. This location made me nervous at first. Upon arrival the exterior looked a bit unkempt and I noticed a few for rent posters in the windows. I instantly became weary but I’m open minded and we ordered our food. The elderly gentleman server was very friendly and we had our food within 15 mins including the appetizers. We ordered garlic naan, cocktail samosas, vegetable malaise kofta, sag, gulab jamin, and sweet lassi. The appearance was amazing, the food was at an excellent temperature and the taste was fabulous. The food arrived in a expected time frame and tasted amazing. The portions were just right the the cost was a great match. I will surely be revisiting this location very soon. Thank you for the excellent service and quality.

If you are looking for authentic Indian food made with lots of love, and a great ambience, this is THE PLACE for you!! It is a family owned business and everyone is very nice and friendly. Even though we moved to Madison a while back, we love coming here because of their love and hospitality.
We have tried most of their dishes and they are all so good!! Chicken tikka masala, Indian Nachos, Egg burji, Malai Kofta, Dal.. you name it!!
Here’s a picture of Malai Kofta with vegetable pulao (I couldn’t resist and ate half of it before taking a picture lol).

The server was an older woman, very nice but service was a bit slow. The food was mediocre at best and the prices were a bit high. Lunch was just my mother and myself and the bill was over $50.00. I thought it was a bit pricey for the dishes we ordered.
The server treated us to a few little sides that was nice. But overall, I have had much better Indian food at a more reasonable price.

This family owned establishment is really lovely on the inside. Service was AMAZING. Meals range from $11-$13, but the portions are very large. My wife and I ate twice off of our order. Delicious food, and the lady there was super great at telling us what each item was and made excellent recommendations.

I’m not a super adventurous foodie (I find my favorites & stick to them) but my friend suggested Delhi Bistro based upon a great experience she had here previously. Let me tell you, I will 100% be eating from here again!

Such a unique experience. The women that were there were very kind & the food was full of such rich flavor. My friend & I walked away full & happy! If you’re questioning whether to give this place a try, do it & be sure to get some cocktail samosas!

First time I had checked the place out. Was disappointed had to eat at the bar. Had the chicken Tikka Masala and the food was ok if you were on a diet. It came out in to go. Plastic bowls. And didn’t look like the pics I had seen on line. I almost fell off the bar stool when they handed me the bill. It said online it was $13. But my bill was $18. I’m sorry they gave me a portion that was fit for a child. A few pieces of chicken & rice. Sorry save your money.

I ordered take-out, so this review is based solely on their food and doesn’t account for their atmosphere — which, for what it’s worth, seemed very nice.

Entrees were soup, not sauce. Not very much protein, and poor quality. For example, the chicken in the tikka masala had the texture and size of what you find in a Progresso soup can…yuck…and used just as sparingly. I don’t really want to pay $13 for canned curry soup.

I noticed a lot of other reviewers are raving about their authenticity. In their pictures, the dishes did look closer to how they are supposed to so maybe they just serve different food to dine-in customers vs. take-out? Mine was definitely not authentic, though.

Portion sizes were too small across the board, considering the price. The samosas, however, were fire — and the only reason this review is 2 stars.

TL;DR: If you’ve ever had real Indian food, buy a canned jar of sauce at the grocery and make it yourself instead. It will be less painful on your wallet…and your stomach.

Nice person working there but my review is based strictly on the food. It was not tasty the tikka masala was not creamy at all. Tasted like a chicken noodle soup. Was excited to try it out since we just moved here but we will have to cross this one off the list.

The food was fantastic and spicy, but what really sets this place apart is the personal service. They came out to our table and told us how the food is traditionally eaten and how to pronounce the names in Indian. They were so nice, and everything is prepared fresh. We had the greatest time!!
