Quite possibly the worst Chinese food I have ever had. We ordered: sweet and sour pork (doughy balls of no flavor), lemon chicken (boiled chicken would taste better), beef with broccoli (cheapest cuts of meat possible), and sesame seed chicken (tastes like how lemon chicken should), 4 egg rolls (not bad), and 2 egg drop soups (yellow water). You might be better off with the steamed rice, because the fried rice is a brown colored, undercooked garbage heap. All for $63.37. The biggest disappointment in my life. I would highly recommend never coming here if you like to save money, and enjoy flavor.

I ran into this small town Chinese restaurant during a day trip just for a rest stop and a quick lunch. Unexpectedly their food and service were very good. The appetizer Crab Rangoon’s stuffing was less sweet but that’s good for people who prefer less suger in their diet. I ordered a Roasted Pork in Garlic Sauce. The portion was big, the sauce was like sweet and sour with a bit garlic taste. The dish overloaded with various veggies and large slices of roasted pork. Overall the portion size and the taste were very satisfying. The only thing caused me not to give 5 stars was too much oil used in preparing the dish. Now I know what to say when placing my order next time if I go back to this place. Yes, this restaurant is on my wish list now. It’s definitely worth the money you paid for, fast service too. Thank you China Wok.

The folks at China Wok have been a great assest for Hamilton for many years. Their service is personable. The food is consistently delicious. Having an option for Chinese food in Hamilton is a big plus!

1st Time here. Really Really clean place even has a Big Hand Sanitizer bottle at the Condiment Table Lemon Chicken and the Noodle soup was Delicious even their Plate Presentation was Really Clean❤️ I will come Back.

UPDATED REVIEW BELOW
I’m not sure why I’m rating it a 2 star. Maybe it’s because so many others have found it good, making me feel bad for giving them a 1 star review?
Like all restaurants who receive poor reviews from me, this one will get a second chance.
If it’s considerably better the second time, I’ll remove this review and replace it with a better one.
I ordered Chicken Fried Rice and it was far less than desirable. The taste was terrible and I think I got one (maybe two) penny sized piece of chicken.
The rice was so oily that it would have still ruined it even if the taste would have been palatable.
I however, I will say that the lady who took my order was very kind and did a good job.
Hopefully better luck next time.
Edited: I bought the same thing for my dad and he just told me that he really liked it.
UPDATE
I just gave China Wok a second try. This time was better. I ordered Masa Chicken. It apparently had been cooked earlier in the day. However the flavor was OK. Nothing special. There were almost no vegetables as shown in the advertised photos. In fact there was only one that I could see and it was a bell pepper. But again, it wasn’t terrible.
Fried rice came with it and I can say it was considerably better than it was in the above review. Yet, it still wasn’t over the top in any way.
The service wasn’t good nor bad. She took my card and had me sign and that was about it.
Ignoring other peoples raving reviews and not allowing their raves to affect my decision as I did above in my initial review, I’ll their rating up to 3 Stars.
I don’t think I’ll be back though.
SECOND UPDATE
I’ve gone ahead and gone back a couple of times since my last update. Each time the food is a little bit better. And the last time the service was much better. So I bumped it up to three stars.

Tasty food, nice atmosphere, excellent service. They make sure you don’t leave hungry. I enjoyed the chicken chow mein with white sauce & cabbage. Lo Mein that has noodles is tasty too! I always get the Crab Rangoon, which is a tasty fried wonton treat! Plenty of seating for a large family. They also have a soda fountain.
