Great place for sushi and hibachi! Our sushi is always fresh and our hibachi is always cooked to perfection, always fresh and hefty servings. The wait staff is great. Prices are very reasonable for what you are ordering. We definitely have chosen this restaurant over others due to their quality and quality of food and the pleasant experience.

Some of the best Japanese food I have ever eaten. My wife and I get the happy box most of the time. We eaten at some very expensive Japanese restaurant all across the country and this little restaurant can hold its on with any of them. The food is delicious. Highly recommend

You have to try the Yum Yum Roll! Best I’ve ever had.
Excellent service, friendly, fast, but freshly prepared food. I would have taken a pic, but my roll smelled so good that once I took a bite it was just gone before I knew it. Yum yum is right!

Last time we came, it was a complete disaster. About 2yrs ago. We decided to give it another shot. Our waitress Sophia was alot of fun and gave us great service. Food was delicious and came out amazingly fast! Highly recommended if your in the Newport area!

My boyfriend and I were a little skeptical of coming here because of the reviews. But we took a chance and came by. The service was great our waiter was really nice, and got us anything we needed. We told him our order. I ordered a soup and a salad which both were very good! My boyfriend ordered 2 salads. Before we could finish our first salad/ soup both of our steak & chicken combinations came to our table. It probably took 3-4 minutes. Which kind of worried me.. The meat was good, but the rice was not. We ordered a california roll, a spicy crab roll, and some crab rangoons. They were for him and they were super chewy and not cooked all the way. The sushi had absolutely no flavor, both of them. Everything just sort of lacked flavor and season. I love fried rice and had a very hard time eating any of it.

Don’t order the teriyaki salmon on the weekend. My salmon was so overdone, it was hard to swallow. I told our server. I asked for another piece of salmon to take home with my rice and veggies. It was a little overdone, but I was ready to leave by that time. Guess what? They charged me $7.99 for the slightly overdone piece. Unbelievable!!!

Second time coming here, our first timw was when they first opened. Food was good but the service was lacking. My husbands food came out a good 20 minutes before mine. I ordered a sushi roll with apparently takes a long time to make. We even suggested that maybe if the server ordered the sushi first and the hot dish 10 minutes later there is a chance the food would arrive at the table at the same time! Our second trip was much the same. I would love to work with the staff here and offer some proper training, heck I’ll even do it for free!
