We had dinner last night and the food was just not like the first time we had lunch. The Lo Mein was definitely microwaved reheated and gummy and the crab Rangoon, the vegetables in the main dinner definitely reheated. Very disappointed. The entire place needs a good scrub down the table was filthy and chairs sticky. Will definitely have to find a new place to get our Chinese fix.

Gave me raw chicken in my chicken on a stick. Notified I made myself get sick so I wasted all my dinner. Restaurant told me I had to bring back in just the chicken on a stick to “maybe” receive a refund for just that and not my entrée. Staff was not kind or apologetic.

This by FAR the worst Chinese I have eaten in a while.
I ordered four entrees for takeout. All were bland and I would have rather eaten microwaved frozen Chinese food.
If you like this, don’t ever go to Canton House on Ligonier, it will ruin this for you forever.

Loved the Sweet & Sour Chicken. Going to try the Pepper Steak with Onions next visit or takeout.

I was an out of towner who ordered up Kung Pao chicken and 2 rangoons carryout. The Kung Pao was very good, but I’ve never had it with mushrooms before. Not a fan of mushrooms but couldn’t really taste them. I was ready to savor the Rangoon. Not good. Worst I’ve ever had. Leather chewy texture and terrible flavor or lack thereof. Inedible. Threw them away.

Food was pretty awful and I was really disappointed. Crab Rangoon was like microwaved (you know how cream cheese gets when you microwave it all curdled looking) then overly fried. No crab flavor in it. Egg roll was good, but had little to no pork in it. I think I seen 3 tiny pieces. Very disappointing but had good veggie flavor at least. Also had beef and broccoli with fried rice this was not good. Beef had a weird soft gummy texture not like real food. Couldn’t Handle the texture, broccoli and sauce was decent though. Broccoli looked nice and green which is good. Rice didn’t taste like fried rice, not what I expected and will not return.

Hubby picked up Kung pao chicken & paid extra for a qt of eggdrop soup. We onlu got a pint. We’ve both had a bug so soup sounded good. But too much corn starch! Rice was good but Kung pau was overcooked.. crab Rangoon tasted like leftover & reheated. Very tuff & filling was barely any in it..I talked him into going so we wouldn’t have to cook later.. We will Not go back!

Today at 7:10 pm I order some wontons they was so small not meat in them just crisp. The young lady at the counter was nice but when coming back in that changed. They don’t offer a refund or an exchange for the price of what you paid for the food . It’s a cute mom n pop place but that will be my last time going there.

It’s such a disappointment to experience a restaurants decline. 10 years ago, this place was our go to. Different owners have equaled a steady decline to the point of no return. Sunday’s experience will, unfortunately, be our last. We ordered takeout. We had friends in town. They barely ate any of their food but were polite and said it was good. I had “beef” fried rice. I counted. There were only 5 small pieces of beef in the entire box of fried rice. It was a dinner sized portion so the box was the bigger Chinese takeout rice box. My husband had the chicken fried rice with the same experience. No veggies in the rice, no egg that I could see and it was barely “fried”. Our friends had chicken lo Mein and chicken chop suey. We paid just under $50 for the four of us. The best part of the meal was the fortune cookies (2 of which had no actual fortunes in them). I should also note, we used to love going inside to dine but since Covid (4 years ago), they’ve changed their indoor policy. You have to go to the counter and order your food. They give it to you in to go containers with small plastic silverware and styrofoam cups and you dispose of everything when you finish. There’s no wait staff to take your order, bring your food, refresh your drink. There’s no personality left in this place. They do still, expect you to tip. They do still charge a fee if you pay by credit card. I sincerely hope they read their reviews and take them to heart. I’d love nothing more than to return to this place we once loved.
