Great selection of Gin, Rum, French Cider, Amaro, German Beer, liquors (even really rare hard to find in Mass bottles) at good or fair prices. Clean logical store layout. Add to this great cheeses, meats, dairy and other savory imports. Plus, awesome chocolates and other sweets. This place is an oasis. Friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff. Note- free parking in the garage at the weekend. I keep going back for more! Thanks Malden Center Fine Wines.

Such a great shop! A clean, well organized space with a large selection of wines, beer, and liquor. Not to mention the addition of gourmet groceries and snacks!
The staff was also very kind and overly accommodating! We were very enthusiastic to see Jenni’s ice cream and when we inquired about the flavors, they asked which we’d like to see on the shelf, wrote it down, and said they would add it to their next order! We will gladly come out of our way to get our Jenni’s and shop here again!
10/10 would recommend!

Great local place. The manager and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They know a lot about wines and spirits but they don’t do “hard sells” if you prefer to look around solo. This place does wine/spirit tastings every Friday and Saturday night from many different places, and you can sign up for their newsletter about sales and different tastings. They also do gifting, catering of platters, and wine baskets.
The price range here is perfect. You can buy something that is $500 a bottle, a case or six pack of beer/flavored hard seltzers, or if you just need a small nip for a cocktail recipe. They carry a lot of international products from Europe and Asia, especially Chinese, Korean, and Japanese gift-wrapped spirits. One of the largest whiskey sections I’ve seen outside of an international Duty Free shop or “big” shop like Total Wines & More.
Besides alcohol, they sell sodas, juices, mixers, seltzers, tonic waters, lemons/limes/cocktail accoutrements, crackers, chips, jams, jellies, cheeses, frozen meals, fancy gelatos and sorbets, and a few “knick knacks” of food like small containers of milk and eggs that you might need to pick up on your way home.
They have a great selection of imported chocolate boxes, local and fair-trade chocolate bars, and “dessert”-centric items for parties, along with shelf after shelf of bitters, seasonings, flavorings, hot sauces, and hard to find condiments. It’s a really great shop for last minute gifts, meal/dessert/cocktail ingredients, trying a new drink, or for those now living in New England who miss a biscuit or spirit from “back home”.
Extremely clean, everything is labeled and priced clearly, they validate your parking for 1 hour if you’re driving there, and you’ll need to visit more than once just to see the wide variety of items. I’d compare this to Cardullo’s in Cambridge and some of the wine and spirit shops near Back Bay and Newbury Street that carry enough domestic items for the locals, and enough “exotic” stuff for international students and people moving to New England for the first time.
This is the only place my husband can find Belgian Guylian chocolates, and this is the only place I can find specialty Indian whiskeys that don’t cost an arm and a leg. Great shop and you can tell the manager really loves what he does.

I happened to be across the street running an errand at City Hall. There was a protest outside, and as I was crossing the street to avoid the conflict, I noticed this wine store. I’m so glad I entered! The moment I did, the noise from the outside seemed to disappear, and the owner that greeted us did so with a welcoming smile. I explained that I was looking for a local, craft beer for a gift. He helped me pick out a Maine variety. When I brought the bottles to the register, he proceeded to place the two bottles in a shiny, red gift bag and tied it with a ribbon. That was most unexpected, and saved me the time of gift wrapping them myself! I will definitely be back to this location for tastings and for the collection of spirits.

Update: since the new ownership the stores pricing and selection is not the same.
Great selection and variety! Some prices are not the cheapest in the area for spirits, so just beware.
The store also has a broad selection on charcuterie, snacks, and olive oils.
The staff is very customer service oriented and have been very helpful on man occasions.

Cleanest liquor store I’ve ever been in. We bought over $100 of stuff because there was a such a wide variety of things to try! High quality and very specific. Owner was super nice and helped us with what we were specifically there for (olive oil) and gave us some free bread. Definitely will be regular customers!

TLDR; New owner fired the entire fantastic staff (buyers) and replaced with cheaper, less knowledgeable labor. Bougie, local, and organic selections (no longer curated by aforementioned buyers) is gradually disappearing for profit margin. Will be cheaper convenience store items soon enough.

What made the shop the best in the area was the staff. Their knowledge and caring curation of the products. No small part because they were also the buyers of said products. I’ve lived here for 3 years. Every single time entering was a pleasant exchange because of the staff. That’s something you don’t often experience.
The new owner fired them all. Immediately replacing them with more affordable labor to cut cost. If the new owner had simply looked at the glowing reviews, they might have understood that they would be getting rid of the reason why. Without buyers, without knowledgeable staff, I expect the 5 star rating to recede as the selection of drinks and food are adjusted for profit margin and convenience. I’m already seeing craft soda for mixing replaced by typical Mountain Dew and Pepsi. Snickers and Doritos replacing ethical dark chocolate and organic local chips. The bougie rotating snack and food sections will be like that of a bodega soon enough. The tank of refillable, fresh olive oil is gone, bottles of Goya in its place. They even installed a giant security monitor like one too. Now I can feel uncomfortably watched while I shop. Nothing good lasts in Malden. Such a shame…
