This place is the real deal. Food is well made, tasty and clearly very high quality. Example of steak over salad. When you ask for medium, you get medium with nice pink center. Most other places will just reheat some random chunk of meat. All items we tried were really good and freshly made. Kudos.

Found our favorite breakfast spot here! Food and service both 10/10. Had steak & eggs and ribeye chilaquiles with cafe de olla to drink. The menu was packed with great options so we will be back!

I went for brunch today with a friend. We were seated immediately given there was plenty of seats inside and outside. We each ordered a drink and entree. We had not been there for even an hour when we were given our receipt, which is fine. However, not even 5 minutes after being given the receipt, an employee (a man) asked us for payment since they “needed the table”. We were extremely surprised since there were available tables inside and outside. We asked him again to confirm what he said, which he replied yes, we need the table in a few minutes. We quickly paid and rushed out. I don’t typically leave a bad review, especially since the food was good and our waiter was kind here. However, I found this very rude since we both ordered meals, had been there for barely an hour, and there were plenty of open tables both inside and out with no one visibly waiting. I was excited to have found a new regular spot to dine with my friend, but after this strange incident we will not be back.

For the record, my husband thinks this place is great. I thought it was just okay and I’ll tell you why. While it has a nice, casual atmosphere, the service was just okay. Our order was taken and the food and drinks provided, followed by the check when it looked like we were done, but not once did the server ask if we wanted refills or anything else. If that’s their groove, that’s fine. I just would expect more in a place where a host is seating us. The food was meh. I think the west coast restaurants making east coast versions of meals is a bad idea anyway, but it’d definitely doesn’t measure up. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich no banana peppers (because banana peppers have no business being on this sandwich) with sweet potato fries. Don’t mind my odd parings. The cheesesteak was dry. Really dry. Traditionally, sautéed bell peppers are used, rather than banana peppers. And for a real crowd pleaser, an optional creamy cheese sauce would be very nice. The fries were undercooked, so they had a weird texture that just didn’t chew right. The place is clean. Music is current and not too loud. Maybe next time I’ll try breakfast?

We had a nice brunch at Calafia and the service and food were ON POINT. The chilaquiles was huge (easily two meals) and absolutely delicious, and the Calafia Omlette was stuffed full of chorizo and hot link sausage and mushrooms and peppers and onions and jack cheese and just out-of-this-world delicious. Coupled with some of the Cafe de Olla cinnamon coffee and a mimosa a better brunch couldn’t be found. 10/10 would take my picky and unimpressed grandmother here.

Absolutely hated everything we ordered. The dips tasted like grocery store bought, not like freshly made. Drinks were also syrupy n low quality. The veggie pasta was raw , tasted like pasta in plain water. No cheesiness or seasoning whatsoever in the pasta. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We were taking a drive from Los Angeles to Walnut Creek. We stopped in Liverpool to charge our vehicle. It looked like a nice place. We were not disappointed! The food was excellent. We had the Belgian waffles. They were delicious . It seems a little pricey, but the meals are well portioned. The service was also great! If you’re in the area, you should definitely give them a try.

What a fantastic find in Livermore! Califa Kitchen blew us away with their warm hospitality, delicious food, and authentic flavors.

Our server Romero was outstanding – attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. In fact, the entire staff was welcoming and created such a pleasant atmosphere that made our visit special.

The huevos rancheros were amazing – perfectly prepared and full of flavor. But the real star of our visit was the Café de Olla! This traditional Mexican-style coffee brewed with cinnamon and piloncillo (raw cane sugar) was an absolute revelation. Rich, aromatic, and beautifully balanced – it’s unlike any coffee you’ll find at a typical café. If you visit Califa, you absolutely must try it!

Fifty dollars for 4 enchiladas , soggy , onion rings and a b l t a that had almost no bacon or avocado oh yeah, and they charge a dollar for a tiny side of bottled ranch. You’re not even making your own ranch 4.6 stars is way overrated.

Burgers were just ok. We brought a cake for someone’s birthday and they charged us a $10 cake cutting fee. For a casual lunch that is pretty weird; I’ve never been charged for this at lunch at similar restaurants. Then they didn’t even cut the cake, they just gave us some plates. So I guess it wasn’t a cake cutting fee, but a $10 fee for a handful of small plates after we had already spent a couple hundred bucks.
