Well, disappointing to say the least. I ordered a chocolate español and it wasn’t thick at all like a chocolate español should be. So I went back and told them my order was wrong if u could please give me what I asked for. But alas, they gave me one of the same. Not to be pedantic but I just came back from CDMX and their Polanco and condesa locations did have actual thick chocolate español. I understand it takes a long time to make, but why advertise and sell something that you’re not preparing correctly. $6 isn’t cheap either. Churros are ok.

I was told these are the only authentic churros outside of Mexico.
Service was fast (considering they are made to order and there was a line). Churros are hot and fresh.

If you’ve been to Mexico City, you know these churros are famous and have several locations. I was excited to learn they are now in the US!
Also pleased to find they are located inside a Mexican food heaven. I really enjoyed my churro.

This churro was definitely enjoyable. It had a nice balance of sweetness and a satisfying texture that made it a great treat overall. It was fresh, warm, and had that classic churro flavor that you expect—enough to make you want more. While it didn’t quite reach that next level of “amazing” or stand out as the best I’ve ever had, it still delivered a solid experience. If you’re craving something sweet and comforting, this churro won’t disappoint. It’s not unforgettable, but it’s definitely worth getting if you’re nearby.

Nice cafe and churros . El Moro Churreria has a patio outdoor seating area. It’s a great place for a coffee and dessert .

The absolute BEST churros!! I’ve gone to El Moro several times in Mexico City and the quality here in Costa Mesa is on par! The churros have the best crunch to them, never soggy or hard to rip apart, and are just the right amount of sweet. The young man working the order pickup station was SO nice and made my day ☺️

I had a mixed experience at this store. The shop itself was great, with such a wide variety of items that it really reminded me of Mexico. It was fun to browse through everything they had to offer. However, I was let down by the churros. They were just okay, which was disappointing because I had high expectations. They did not cut them evenly. Honestly, Disneyland’s churros are much better.
It might have been an off day for them since the staff making the churros seemed uninterested and not very welcoming. The one exception was the lady at the cash register, who was friendly and helpful. Her kindness was a bright spot in the visit. I’d go back for the atmosphere and selection of goods, but I’d probably skip the churros next time.

Disappointed in the quality of their Cafe de olla I felt like I was drinking pure sugar not exactly sure what their standards are. And the classic hot chocolate was disgusting, it was oily and it didn’t taste good because it had like milk that had been sitting there and I was able to taste something like masa in the hot chocolate this is definitely a no for me. I was able to see little crumbs. The only the item I would buy again will be the Churros. They still need a lot of improvement because the meat in their tortas has zero flavor like they choose to not season their meat and then thought that if they added onions and cilantro, this would add flavor but again it was a complete disappointment people from Mexico know how to eat and make tortas. This place doesn’t represent Mexico not even a little. It lacks flavor and authenticity.

Phenomenal churros. Having tried churros in LA, OC, and across the southern border, the texture and flavor of El Moro is on point. ‘Tis the season, so they also offer a gingerbread churro, which has a more vanilla, spiced aroma, super tasty. 10/10. Also their hot chocolate is great.

Located in a terrific mercado this is a classic treat from a well known mexico city shop. It is better than most churros but I was a bit disappointed that the one I bought was room temperature rather than freshly warm. Still enjoyed it
