Meat off the bone ribs and delicious pulled pork sandwich. Loved the mac and cheese – not that watery stuff some places try to pass off. Super nice folks, too. Had a fantastic lunch! I hear the burgers and meatloaf is great too.

Ordered delivery and was blown away. This is real Southern comfort food done right. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and packed perfectly. The flavors were rich, hearty, and exactly what you crave when you want comfort food. And the cheesesteaks are PHENOMENAL! Loaded, perfectly seasoned, and insanely satisfying even after delivery. Found JD’s randomly in a road trip, and it really hit the spot. I had the pulled pork sandwich and onions rings. The rings were perfectly hot and crispy. The pulled pork was juicy and delicious. It does come sauced, but it’s juicy w/o needing it….sometimes you can just tell. The only bummer was being charged $1 for a cup of tap water.

JD is a very friendly guy who seems super passionate about his food! Whenever he is working at this location it is always the best food I’ve ever tasted! It is still good when the other chefs are working, but JD really knows his way around his menu. The waitress who has been there every time I’ve been there seems like she would rather be literally anywhere else and does pretty much the bare minimum, but the service is still quick and decent.

A hidden gem in Lynchburg. The ribs were some of the best I’ve had. FALL OFF THE BONE and truly delicious! I also ordered Mac & Cheese, Veggie Burger and Onion Rings… all were delicious and exceeded my expectations!

The food court is really pretty to sit by the fire pit or under the strings of lights! Lots of benches and tables! Many food trucks to choose at this Backyard location. I ordered a cheesesteak and a side of mac and cheese. The cheesesteak was fine but the mac and cheese wasn’t very good and was insanely tiny for it being $5. I ordered via Uber Eats so I didn’t know how much would actually be included. If I had known/seen a picture, I just wouldn’t have gotten it. I don’t usually leave negative reviews but I’m really disappointed.
