Loved this place! It’s small and cozy, but the flavors are huge. The Grilled Pork Belly and Pollo a la Brasas were outstanding — super delicious and cooked perfectly. Staffs are friendly and energetic! Definitely recommend checking out Brasas!

Ok so this was the best meal I’ve had in a long time! Ceviche was interesting with so many different textures and flavors, Chicken was flavorful and moist, the potato mash was perfectly creamy with an subtle herb flavor, maduros perfectly crispy and tender. The kitchen puts so much care into the food and I will definitely be telling all my friends about this place. Thank you Brasas!!

We take an annual holiday trip to St Louis, and tried out Brasas this year. Unbelievably great food, cocktails, and service. We are still talking about it a week later so I felt like I better give a review. The portions are large and the flavors are remarkable. The sides are not an afterthought. Each bite is fantastic!

I had an exceptional dining experience at Brasa in the Central West End. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the perfect tone. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.
The flavors at Brasa are outstanding—each dish is thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients and bold spices that truly highlight the cuisine’s authenticity. I highly recommend the pork belly, which was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The cocktail and wine selections paired perfectly.
Overall, Brasa offers a fantastic combination of delicious food, excellent service, and inviting ambiance. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal in St. Louis. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Brasas is a place I didn’t know of until I was assigned to cover photos for them. I am glad I did. It’s a nice cozy place and the staff were so kind and friendly. After done with my business in Beasas, the food looked great and I had to order their main dish which was the Peruvian rotisserie chicken that came with 2 sides (garlic rice and fried plantain) were my sides and it came with three different cremas. (Mild, spicy cilantro, and spicy ). Speaking of the latter, the mild was good and it tasted close to ketchup+mayo , the spicy cilantro was really refreshing and flavorful, and the spicy one had lots of flavor packed in it as well. As good these cremas were, I didn’t use much of them with the chicken, I did with the rice and with the plantain which believe it or not, it worked “at least for me”. The garlic rice was cooked well and had a subtle garlic yet it was flavorful. The fried plantains were on point. Caramelized to perfection and they were sweet and melted in your mouth, when dipping them with the crema, the contrast creates a great harmonious flavors. Now going to the main star of the meal, the chicken. The main reason I didn’t go on with eaten kg the chicken with the cremas is that the chicken was filled with flavor, well seasoned and the cooked to perfection. I had the dark meat and it was so juicy and tender meat. The flavors were beyond the skin part unlike lots of people other places where you only find flavors on the skin and not the meat under.
Over all, a must try restaurant, I will be back and have to try other menu items and recommend chicken lovers to come here and they will be in for a treat.

One of the most delightful restaurant experiences I’ve had in years. The pork belly and rotisserie chicken dishes are both phenomenal – and the curry / bean stew that comes with the pork belly is a must-try. The margaritas here are also very much worth getting. For sides, we went with the rotisserie potatoes and sweet plaintains. The plaintains were truly amazing. The local ice cream dessert was also a unique treat that we all enjoyed at the end of our meal. This will be a place I will return to every time I’m in the St. Louis area. Give it a try!

Delicious food! My husband and I sat at the bar and had a great dinner. It’s a small space, but there was poppin’ music and a fun ambiance. Another couple who didn’t have reservations was turned away just before us, so we’d strongly recommend reservations (especially for weekends). Chicken is great.
My one request would be hooks under the bar for coats/purses as mine kept falling on the floor!

If I’d known this when making plans and a reservation, I’d have skipped Brasas: They’re cashless AND add an unavoidable 3% surcharge. There was a sign on the door announcing the no cash, but didn’t notice the part about a surcharge until after dinner. Don’t impose a surcharge if there’s no other option.
I’d had Brasas years ago as a popup at Nixta, and the Pollo a la Brasa was a bit dry and wanted to try it again.
The pisco sour was on point, if a bit pricey ($15) but worth the splurge. Cevichito clasico was good with a medium spice, but served in a cocktail glass that made eating difficult. Anticuchos corazón were available and were the best part of the meal.
Now for the signature dish: Pollo a la Brasa… Unfortunately, even the dark meat was a bit dry. Fries seemed to be the type from a bag. However, the sauces (crema) were solid.

WHAT GOOD FOOD. Genuinely the best chicken I have ever had in my life. We had potatoes prepared three different ways and we didn’t feel overloaded by the end of the meal. The staff were super kind and the food was so delicious. I am not a big fan of the seemingly here-to-stay restaurant trend of serving very expensive large plates with intermediate prices on small plates, as that can sometimes feel like a ripoff depending on the amount of food you get, but this did not feel like a ripoff. We got decent portions for the sizes and were full by the end of the meal without spending $50/person. I think it was ~$120 for 4 people, including tip, and we got a whole chicken, four small plates and drinks and dessert. Pretty decent amount of food for the price. I will certainly be recommending Brasas to others 🙂
