Travel With Rolando
This was an outstanding Harvest Hosts overnight stay at The Cypress Taphouse / Fort Bayou Brewing Co. in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and an excellent example of how thoughtful hosts make RV travel easier and more enjoyable. The location was very easy to find, RV-friendly, and well laid out, which made arrival completely stress-free.

Although the brewery and taproom were closed during my stay, the directions and instructions provided in advance were clear, detailed, and extremely well organized. Everything worked exactly as described. Electrical power was available for just $15, which is a fantastic value and made this a comfortable, quiet, and restful overnight stop.

Based on the many glowing reviews I’ve read, I fully plan to return when they are open to properly show my gratitude—by enjoying the food, having a drink, and experiencing the amazing service and atmosphere that so many others rave about. This is a perfect RV stop in Ocean Springs and a place I’m happy to recommend to fellow travelers without hesitation.

A really neat place. The atmosphere is very nice. The flat bread pizza and crab dip were so good. We brought our child only to find they didn’t have any high chairs for him. That’s the only thing that brought it down for us. But if you’re going for date night or friends, I think you’ll enjoy it

The establishment was very friendly, and the staff was helpful. The food was great. I had the pot roast quesadilla with fries, and Gypsy had a margarita quesadilla. The establishment was very clean and well maintained. We will definitely return when we are in the area. We can recommend this as a great place to visit.

Wonderful lunch. The club was amazing. Loved the presentation as well. Husband had the daily lunch special. Was only $10 for a po boy and cup of gumbo. Lots of great sounding food on the menu to try. So, we will be going back to try more. They have house made craft beers as well. The husband loved the chocolate beer.

The Cypress Taphouse is a gem! The atmosphere is laid-back but still has that lively energy that makes it perfect for a night out with friends or a casual dinner. The menu has something for everyone, with food that’s always fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. Their rotating beer selection is impressive, with plenty of local and craft options to keep things interesting, and the cocktails are just as good.

The staff deserves a special mention—they’re friendly, attentive, and always willing to make great recommendations whether it’s food or drinks. Service is consistent and quick, even when the place is busy.

Between the great vibe, delicious food, and top-notch drinks, it’s easy to see why people keep coming back. Definitely a spot worth visiting again and again!

This place is a hidden gem! My wife and I came into town for an event, and already had dinner plans, but we wanted to grab a quick drink beforehand. We stumbled upon the Cypress Taphouse. Matt, the owner, seated us at the bar and treated us like old friends. “Granny,” who also works the bar and restaurant, was a real hoot- as my grandmother would’ve put it. We didn’t have time to eat, but the menu looked delicious. We will certainly be back next time we are in the area!

The below photo really needs to be their main photo. I’ve been to a lot of breweries and this entry is unique. I love it. The beer is very good and the staff are quite welcoming. Can’t speak on the food though, would gladly stay for all the beers though

Let’s get straight to the point…

Our first visit, definitely not our last

Amazing menu selection
Like fried mushrooms? A MUST!! However…. I’ll definitely order 2 next time so I don’t have to share. The ranch dipping is good however if you really want an amazing combo then I recommend my favorite definitely get a side of sour cream to dip them in.

I decided to try the Alfredo (no meat for me) and a side of green beans.
Both were amazing and the perfect portion size.

Hubby ordered the blackened red fish with an added side of crawfish cream sauce, side of potatoes and green beans and cleaned his plate.

Everything came out fresh, hot and absolutely delicious.

Cons for us…. this isn’t major and is Mainly a personal preference which is why I won’t allow this to affect the rating.
We are usually more for quiet nights and more intimate settings. Yes, this is a bar therefore i did nkt expect it to be an intimate setting. Upon entering we were not sure if we were to wait to be seated or seat ourselves and the music was loud, like loud loud. However, once we sat and the server came she informed us that usually it wasn’t as loud. They had a large private group and they were simply having an amazing time. I would never fault a business for providing quality food and great service that welcomed groups to thoroughly enjoy themselves. Once the server closed the double doors it definitely helped and we were able to enjoy our dinner date.
Next time we will just make sure we go a bit earlier. Problem solved.

Definitely give it a go! I’m glad we did!!

The Cypress Taphouse/Fort Bayou Brewing Co. had plenty of parking for our 46’ rig. The drinks and food were good! A definite must-visit if you are traveling through this area.
