As close to a 5 as I can give nobody ever gets a 5 unless is perfect.. I bought alot so I could try everything Gumbo great flavor not spicy enough for me (does have spice) shrimp was seasoned well but I do prefer the large shrimp over the popcorn size not a fan of the Jambalaya it’s not bad just not for me and the Catfish was my least favorite not seasoned enough I expected it to have a Cajun spice to the batter.. All in all I will for sure come back for that Gumbo 2nd best I’ve had so far in the KC area(updated for all I purchased)

What really stood out was Kelsey, one of the managers. She was incredible—offering great recommendations, being genuinely friendly and welcoming, and taking the time to share details about their future plans. Her passion and professionalism were obvious, and with leadership like hers, this place is set up to do very well.

The catfish and grits is amazing. Everyone needs to try it. The staff is very friendly and accommodating too. Loved the place and the ambiance, it only took 15 mins to get my food. I will be back!!

The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were friendly and attentive.
I ordered the shrimp creole and it was excellent — perfectly cooked shrimp and a rich, flavorful sauce with just the right amount of spice. We also tried the hush puppies, jalapeño crawfish cornbread, and beignets. The hush puppies were crispy and not greasy, the cornbread had great flavor and a nice little kick, and the beignets were light, fluffy, and the perfect sweet finish.
So happy to have a locally owned spot like this — I’ll definitely be back!

Gosh I can’t say enough good things! If you’re gonna do something do it right, and they have!! The red beans and rice were perfectly perfect, warm and flavorful. And the jambalaya was outstanding, with the perfect balance of spice and heart. They really have a good thing going here! We will be back!
