Very friendly service. Ordered online and food was timely. Unfortunately, the food was not to our liking. Large portion of honey chicken was soggy, fatty and very sugary. Sweet and sour soup tastes like straight pepper. Yellow shrimp fried rice not appetizing. General TSO chicken is very sweet and sugary, not spicy as requested. Rolls and wontons were fried to a crisp. Overall, disappointed we spent $40+ on food that just isn’t good. This is not authentic as advertised. American Chinese fast food at best. Salty, sugary and lots of dough used.

This restaurant is nestled in a strip mall…further west of the Sunset Mall at U.S. 19. The interior of the restaurant appeared to be under going some type of remodeling. All servers did not wear mask. But, the front door and the back door were wide open.. providing good ventilation. The food was flavorful and fresh.

We have ordered multiple times from China 88 Clearwater. Pricing is ok, food is average. Tonight we ordered Schezwan Chicken and this is not Schezwan Chicken. When I called and asked about it the lady very quickly and without care replied “ I put it together and that’s our Schezwan Chicken, I put your order together” I said no ️ ‘s or fried chicken and she said nope. In summary it’s close, foods ok, pricing is ok, what you get is whatever they call it. If you want a basic dish it’s probably gonna be ok, any specialty dish lacks authenticity.

The most i have ever paid for sweet and sour chicken! The fried rice wasnt even fried rice, it was yellow. NEVER AGAIN!

I wouldn’t normally even try a restaurant rated less than 4 stars, but a trusted friend recommended this place and it has not disappointed us yet. The service is friendly and helpful. At this point, they remember our order . My partner orders beef chop suey and I typically order Singapore noodles at medium spicy. Both are consistently delicious. We also usually get spring rolls and a side of sweet and sour sauce and they are also good. Tonight, I ventured out and tried the Sesame Chicken. It was exactly as the menu described: crispy texture, flavorful. China 88 offers great food at a great price and excellent service!

I spent $80 getting Chinese food from here so I would’ve thought they paid attention and got my order correct but they didn’t. They forgot my tofu and my rice and they messed up a whole order and gave me sweet-and-sour chicken and noodles when I asked for beef and broccoli mix I’m not satisfied and I wouldn’t recommend going here. I can’t get a refund because it was through DoorDash and I already gave them one star review on there, but I’m just disappointed. Don’t waste your money.

The meal was not as described. Supposed to be a seafood dish. What I got was a lot of old vegetables chicken an d beef with two shrimp half of a scallop.and a tasteless watery sauce. It was slop. It is still probably the worst Chinese that I have ever had. I was hoping that it had changed hands. The food is hopelessly terrible.

Ordered Sam thing we have for past 2 years and what a disappointment. Mongolian beef has no green pepper and tasted sweet not spicy. Seafood medley had imitation crab that was like playdough not fish. Bourbon chicken was soso. Not sure if owners change or what but definitely not going back.

I paid quite a bit over 50$ for 3 entries and less than pint serving of rice. Then upon arriving home open the beef and broccoli to green fishy smelling beef so slimey and stinky I literally gagged and had to throw it Way immediately. Absolutely will.never go Herr again
