I visited the PF Chang’s at Detroit Metro Airport for my first ever PF Chang’s experience and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was, especially for an airport location. The Singapore noodles had great flavor with just the right amount of spice, and the pork egg roll was hot, crispy, and satisfying. The service was friendly and quick, which made it an easy and enjoyable stop during travel. Overall, a solid experience that earns four stars.
Oh airport P.F. Change servers breakfast.

If I can give zero stars, I will! This place is horrendous. I and my husband literally just left the place and didnt even get the chance to eat. We have almost 2 hrs layover and chose this as this was just fronting the gate of our next flight. First, we waited quite a while to be seated as the workers are too busy chatting at the back. Then finally, this rudest host I have encountered came and pointed us a table immediately facing the entrance and beside the host’s desk, an awkward spot to eat. They are not busy and there are many available tables so we asked to be seated to a booth. Without saying anything, she just tossed the menus at the same table and left. Like literally turned her back and not said anything. Another server then pointed a table immediately next to another woman while there are so many unoccupied ones that they could give. 15mins of waiting and still nobody came to ask if we are ready to order. While within those minutes, that same guy has checked the other customer twice and refilled her water but never did asked or talked to us as if we were invisible. So we decided to just leave rather than risk getting a subpar food after waiting for forever and be treated poorly. I guess it is a requirement to be rude to work here. Save your time and energy, AVOID this place at all cost before it ruins your travel day.

I really liked it here. I came for an afternoon meal before boarding my flight. The food was savory and seemed fresh. The prices were good for an airport. Our waiter was friendly, but I will agree with reviewers who mention that the staff do hang out amongst themselves a lot. This doesn’t bother me though, I can flag someone down if I need anything.

If you’re hoping for a nice breakfast before your next flight… Just give up on all hope. Everything was bad from the hostess greeting us without any smile or feigned wish to actually be there.
Classic breakfast is sub par. We got dry toast, no butter (or asked about it). But apparently, asking for a coffee spoon is not something available, they brought me this huge serving one. Funny if it weren’t actually pathetic. Knife for the sunny side up eggs or to put jam on your bread? Nope.
I am generally very patient and tolerant, but this really tested me in new ways. Just trust me and skip!

Sitting here right now at the bar area. Lady only came for order, and that’s it. Didn’t check on us as we did get the wrong order. Have pictures of 5 standing around gossiping about another employee at bar area and not acknowledging us at all. She also kept playing with her hair, yuck. We would have sent back but she never came back over. Food was just okay. We told them about beer and they were very rude.

Food was great, the experience was very concerning.
I visited the PF Chang’s in the Detroit Airport this week and had a very unsettling experience. I walked up to the hostess stand and was greeted with a smile and a welcoming bit of conversation. As the lady was asking me how many and where I would like to be seated, a tall slender bald man came up and started berating her. He was aggressively asking, “why would you sit them in….” The details of the statement don’t really matter, it was the disrespectful tone. He continued as I stood there waiting on someone to provide me a place to sit. Eventually, a woman with short spiked up hair intervened and asked me to follow her to a table. As a sat and observed, the woman that originally greeted me was visibly upset and spent some time in the kitchen, popping out occasionally as she gained composure. She was definitely upset and I don’t blame her. The tall bald man bounced around the restaurant as I sat there and what I observed was appalling. He stopped at all of the tables with young ladies seated and asked them if there were having a good experience, in whatever words he used. I saw by myself and he didn’t even look my way. As he was moving about, he stopped and checked in with most of the younger female employees. At each stop, he would put his hand on their back as he talked to them. While this wasn’t exactly and inappropriate touch, it made me uncomfortable because it didn’t appear to be welcomed. While this was going on, there was a lot going on with the other employees like sideways glances and nodding gestures followed by quick whispers among themselves.
Because this guy didn’t stop and talk to me, I don’t know his role, but you have a very toxic person at this location that should merit a comprehensive investigation by Human Resources, including review of any CCTV footage. My guess is, this has been going on for a while and the ladies employed at this store are afraid to speak up.
I’ve included a photo of my bill to help with time of day and to identify who was working. I hope, for the sake of the ladies working there, you take this seriously and make a concerted effort to change behaviors at this restaurant.

I stopped at pf changs at the airport on a work trip when I was returning home. I decided to stop and grab a bite before the flight. I stopped because of the atmosphere. The restaurant was rarely without an empty table the entire time I dined. I ordered wonton soup to start and then went with the orange chicken. The menu seemed to have all the Americanized Chinese cuisine you would get from your favorite Chinese stores. The wonton soup did not disappoint. However, the orange chicken did. It tasted fresh but generic. It didn’t really stand out from the Panda Express. The service was great. However, definitely an over priced meal that I could have gotten for 15$ total with drinks at a regular Chinese store. Instead I paid about 50$ including tip for a dinner for 1. Would I recommend a person who is not paying with a corporate credit card? Absolutely not! Waste of money, time, and space if you ask me. Go get steak. At least it is worth the actual price. The only reason I went and sat down was to say I did it. P.F. Chang’s has been open for a few years and it was my first time there. After reading the other lack of luster reviews I would say I got the usual of what they offer. The service was better than the entire meal and the sever dipped off for 20 minutes toward the end when I needed to run to the restroom. I left and hightailed it to the bathroom as soon as I signed the check and stored it for the future. No I would not recommend.

The blonde lady who was taking care of me gave me terrible service and was extremely rude. She said she served for 15 years.. cant be possible. Hire different help or you’ll be losing my service!

Was there on May 9, 2025. We had a table for two and had to changed our order to takeout because we waited 30 minutes for nothing and we had to go catch our flight. I don’t think the food matched what we ordered, but we were in a hurry so whatever. Two other tables nearby got the wrong food so I felt it was a complete caos at this restaurant. The food wasn’t that good either.

We were served an exceptional meal and the service was impeccable. What really stood out is this is a restaurant at an airport and you are predisposed to expect sublevel quality and quantity, well both were amazing, and Grayson who served us was just the right amount of attentiveness! Would highly recommend AND they were quick!
