The food is excellent, and great presentation. I appreciate that while the interior decor is nice, it’s obvious they pay more attention to food quality and preparation. You’ll notice it with your first bite. The seafood is fresh and prepared properly, not overly dry from the fryer for example. Plenty of choices on the menu if you don’t like first, c and they even have a good selection of salads. The fries look homemade and tasted fresh. I had a salad and turkey sandwich, but the folks at my table had seafood and they went on and on about his fresh and tasty it was. It’s definitely worth a stop if you want fresh seafood, even though it’s a couple miles from the freeway. It’s totally worth the drive, and super easy to find.

This place really knows how to do fish, chowder and sandwiches. Fries and coleslaw could be improved. Sauces were average. The interior of the restaurant really needs updated and deep cleaned. The staff were attentive and friendly. Pricing was average.

Exceeded expections! Seafood chowder was delicious and had plenty of crab and clam in it. All you can eat fish and chips was also great. The unlimited fish was Pollock and was nice and the fries were delicious home style. Prices were reasonable and I felt the food was a great value. We will be back for more.

Definitely, fresh fish and you can taste the difference that it’s not flash frozen. Perhaps a little larger proportion for the fish but other than that, it was pretty darn good and hit the spot. One of the only places you can get fish of that quality and especially in such a small town as Napavine, it was surprising. Little pricey but good.

Great little place! Prices are not too bad for the portion size. Full menu with lots of choices. All you can eat fish and chips all day everyday. The food is very good and the staff are friendly.

I’ve been going in here several times a week for three years now and can honestly say I have never had bad service or a bad meal.
As a truck driver, I can tell you that I have been to more than my share of restaurants. And I judge a restaurant by portion size, taste and of course price! There is nothing more I hate then spending $20 for half a crappy snack and leaving hungry. And that never happens here. Ernie gives generous portions at incredibly low prices. This is definitely the budget friendly establishment to bring the kids, family or whatever social event you’re having.
Last Xmas I bought breakfast for everyone eating (11 people ) and the total was $83! Really! Prices have gone up since because of the new minimum wage law but this is the best place in Lewis County!

I had an urge for fish and chips. Luckily I found Taste of Alaska in Napavine. Yum!! Big portions of seafood. Cooked fresh. Highly recommended and thanks Patty for the great service. Nice gathering place.

Breakfast on 4/22/18. I really liked the service. My BF liked his meal (French toast, eggs, bacon and their super special home-made sausage). I had a New York steak & eggs with sourdough toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The sourdough bread for the toast was obviously really high quality. The steak was a bit overdone. I ordered medium rare and got a medium steak. I also know that restaurants have different standards for steak doneness, so I’ll just order it rare next time. The server was all set to give me a new one, but I didn’t really care that much. It was still good. And at the end of the meal, she did comp us a couple extras that we ordered. I didn’t ask for that and she insisted. So nice.
One comment on the sausage: it was a bit overwhelming with the cloves.
Overall, though, this is a really nice place (clean, nicely decorated, easy to get to), and the folks are super nice. Prices are decent. BF and I will go back. I love supporting places like this.
