Absolutely terrible service. The bartenders would not take our drink order – refused to serve us. We’ve been coming to Pierre, pheasant hunting, for 5 years now, and we have never had this experience before. The bartenders, the way they acted towards us, wanted us to leave for some reason. We will be back in Pierre next year, but we will never step foot into this place again. Worst bar experience I’ve ever had.

The daytime bartender was great; however the female that replaced him was terrible. I walked out after she served several people came in after me. She looked right at my empty glass and ignored me. I would avoid this dive bar if you like good service, especially if you tip well for good service.

As someone who worked here part time 36 or 37 years ago, the place hasn’t changed a bit. In all my travels, one of my favorite bars in the planet is Darwin’s Theory in Anchorage, AK. Coming back to Bob’s in my home town of Pierre,SD, makes me realize why I love Darwin’s so much. Same vibe, similar layout, just an all-around cool bar.
