Half pound burger. Good value. Fun atmosphere. A product you can really sink your teeth into. Fries and onion rings were hot and crisp. Chairs comfortable for most body types. Plenty of room between tables for mobility needs. Music was a bit loud, but they turned it down upon request. Great pub meeting place. Gas outside seating. #ada #access #burger #fries #beer #salad #music #military #subs #Sunday brunch #biscuits

We decided to hold an even here for our FRG. They do not open till 11am and they were accommodating for us and opened at 10am, Amazing!!! Fantastic ladies working at this establishment they even made and printed a special menu for us to fit within our budget for our event. We will be suggesting the Horse and Cow to our fellow FRG Groups!!! Thank you Horse and Cow, for your help and hard work for us on the USS Alaska FRG!!!

We are just passing through but wish we could come back sooner. The wings were among the best I’ve ever had (stinging honey garlic). The garden salad with chicken was fresh and enough to fill me up. My wife loved the fish & chips. Service was friendly and excellent.

My wife and I came in for a late lunch. The owner was sitting down next to us and recommended some of the items and struck up a conversation with us. Very personable and enjoyable. I got the Liberty and my wife got the Caribbean jerk wings. When I tell you the portion of this burger was huge is an understatement! A little messy, but I was forewarned. The fries were great, service was amazing and we will definitely be coming back!

Don’t let the location turn you off. The service was great, the food was really good, and the atmosphere is mighty cool. We got fried Mac n cheese bites, teriyaki wet wings, mojito lime dry wings, a pb&j burger, and a cheeseburger flatbread. Our picky 7-year old gave his food (flatbread) a 17/20 [why out of 20? We don’t know, that’s just what he said]. The Mac n cheese bites were really well seasoned and tasty. The wings were huge and tasted delicious. The pb&j burger had a ton of pb&j so that was awesome. If the flatbread base sauce had been more like a Big Mac sauce (mayo, ketchup, some dill relish) it would have been killer, but it was good regardless. Our child asked if we could come back every time we pass by, so I’d say it was a win all around!

Great food in a casual setting. We had brunch on Sunday and it did not disappoint. Corned beef hash bowl was terrific and so was the bloody Mary . We will be back soon.

A mainstay to every submarine reunion we’ve attended in the area. The memorabilia, found throughout the establishment, tells so many fun stories. The staff always have good attitudes and can take it as well as they give it – all in good fun of course. Food is definitely above average for bar bites. My favorite is the shrimp and grits – it will fill you up for sure. My wife loves the flatbread pizzas.

1st time going to this establishment !!!
Hands down I immediately felt welcome !
Mind ya this place iz for submariners & being a surface westpac sailor didn’t change at all !
Met some really nice people to share sea stories over a few cold ones !
I only thing that I ate were the chicken wings, the service was timely & good, especially the bartender, she made sure your gullet didn’t go dry!!! The lady that ran the place was & is very friendly!!! Bonnie was her name I believe.
The establishment was very clean , even the bathroom areas were clean !!!
It has been a long time that I actually felt welcome here. SO PLEASE STOP BY for some sea stories and feel welcome whether you’re a bubblehead or surface kinda person.
In respect this place reminded me of the American Legend or a VFW but BETTER
SPLICE THE MAIN BRACE !!!

Along with others, we really wanted to love this place. The atmosphere is great, and I was surprised there were only 6 other patrons on a Saturday night. I understood soon after we received our food. The burger was raw. The $14 nachos came with a large portion of chips but were overloaded with sour cream and salsa and very little ground beef. Quantity does not supercede quality. The waitress, who seemed like she didn’t even want to be there, said their burgers are always cooked medium and the nachos had the standard amount of meat. After receiving the $$$ bill, we have decided we won’t be returning.

If you haven’t been to the Horse and Cow in St Mary’s, you’re missing out on something cool. The atmosphere is friendly and warm. Drinks are on point and the wings are the best I have had in YEARS! The in house sauces are phenomenal! If you’re in St Mary’s, don’t miss out. You won’t be disappointed! If you lucky enough to mete Mike, the owner, ask him how the name came about.
