Da Flava is absolutely amazing! The food tastes truly home-cooked and always fresh. This is my go-to spot whenever I want a good, satisfying dinner. You can tell a lot of care goes into the meals, and the flavor never disappoints. Highly recommend if you’re craving real comfort food done right!

I went to this restaurant for the first time today 10/16/25. Dwayne was so nice & friendly. I ordered the stewed chicken, collard greens and yams. Everyone that came in were repeat customers that eat there every week. They said the bbq chicken, stewed chicken, mac&cheese, the cabbage, and rice&peas were all delicious. Dwayne offered to give me a sample to taste. It was so good that I ordered another plate with cabbage, rice&peas, bbq chicken, cornbread. They give you so much food and I had enough to share with a friend to see how they liked the food. We are both very pleased with everything. I gave them 2 suggestions to consider. 1. To automatically provide cornbread (mini muffins) with collard greens and cabbage orders. 2. Never run out of plantains. I was so disappointed that they didn’t have any plantains. I can’t eat Jamaican food without it. I had to stop at another Jamaican restaurant to get plantains. All of the Jamaican restaurants I have eaten at automatically provide 2 plantains with every meal. I don’t eat pork. So I really love the fact
that they cook their vegetables without any meat which is also great for vegetarian options. I had a great experience and will be back. Thanks, TJ

I stopped by this restaurant while I was in the area showing a property as a realtor. I love Jamaican food, so I decided to give this place a try. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.

The service was poor. There were two men working at the time. The first, who took my order, had very low energy and seemed uninterested, with no enthusiasm or basic customer engagement. I am not expecting anything over the top, but basic people skills matter when customers are spending their money.

I ordered oxtails with two sides. I initially chose cabbage and yams, but shortly after realized I usually prefer rice and beans with oxtails. I asked if rice and beans could replace one of the sides and was told it was possible. When this was communicated to the kitchen, the second employee reacted with an attitude, as if the request was an inconvenience. The interaction felt unwelcoming and unprofessional.

The food itself was very bland and did not meet expectations. I spent $35 and can confidently say I will not be returning. Overall, this was a disappointing experience and not a place I would recommend.

The pictures and reviews I saw before ordering certainly gave me higher expectations. However, I must admit that I’m a bit disappointed. First and foremost, I received more rice and peas than oxtails. The oxtails were supposed to be the main attraction, as depicted in the other pictures I saw in the gallery. While the gravy was tasty, the oxtails chewy and could have benefited from more cooking time. Also my dismay, I realized that a significant portion of the dish consisted of more inedible gristle and bone, rather than oxtails. They certainly wouldn’t make it into my top three dishes. The rice and peas were good with the gravy, but I noticed that a considerable amount of the rice was undercooked and crunchy. The cabbage was also mediocre; it lacked any distinct flavor and simply boiled. Overall, I feel that the dish was not worth the $25 price tag. Perhaps it was a bad day for the restaurant or there was someone new in the kitchen, but given the pictures and the positive reviews I’ve read, I feel like I was robbed of a great dining experience. I’m giving two stars instead of one because I believe there’s potential and the tasty gravy, but on this particular day, they missed the mark.

Ordered from here today and couldn’t even enjoy my soul food bowl. The chicken was so pink and undercooked so I didn’t taste it, the greens tasted old, the macaroni seemed like just noodles barely any cheese and no flavor. The only good thing was the yams. Very disappointing for my first time trying.

We had a great experience. Pink locs has great customer service. I hate they ran out of oxtails but the smothered turkey wings and jerk ribs were delicious. The Mac and cheese and greens was seasoned. Great food.

The Mac and cheese was very dry today as if they reheated it several times and it was burnt at the bottomi would also charge 2 plates for the price of one order which I ordered and they refuse to give me my money back and then it was missing 1 of the size off of both plates. And with a bunch of rice and a little Turkey wing on the top. They pile your plate at the bottom of the rice with one. Turkey wing for these prices. It’s and that macaroni is really old. Here’s some pictures. I have no reason to lie because I ate there before the food was good this time it was not. Hello I’m back again July 29th I tried the restaurant again their food was worse than the last time I ate there this is my third time I would never ever eat there again the rice was hard with lumps in it and macaroni had no cheese just oily no flavor the rice was horrible mushy and dry with clumps in it nothing has seasoning on it the potato salad disgusting turkey wings undercooked this place is a disaster please don’t eat there anybody please don’t I gave them three tries I spent $40 on this plate and it is nasty as hell ‍♂️ ‍♂️ ‍♂️ ‍♂️ ‍♂️ I just don’t appreciate the nasty food that they keep serving I gave them three tries they struck out this time totally nasty

Customer service has never been a staple in any Jamaican restaurants so I’m not even gonna say anything about my experience here— but aside from that the food is borderline. I got the stew chicken and the flavor was ok but it was mostly bones. There wasn’t a lot of meat and plus they break the bones so the flavor releases during cooking so you’re spitting out even more little pieces of bones while eating.

The rice and peas need to be cooked longer! There were some really hard grains of rice in my meal it was definitely undercooked. Also there needs to be more flavor in the rice seriously! Where’s the Green onion, garlic, pepper, butter and coconut milk?

This food is probably great for Georgia standards but if you had amazing Jamaican food down in South Florida then you’ll be kinda disappointed here!
