The Bake Shop in Ghent serves the best donuts anywhere! Also, we just stopped in for lunch and enjoyed delicious sandwiches and soup. Nancy and her staff are always friendly and hospitable. Just found this place and it is wonderful. The lunch sandwiches are awesome. Egg salad and chicken are the best. Donut and scone were really good. I bought the multigrain bread and it was also very good. The ladies are so nice and friendly. I haven’t tried the cakes or other bakery yet but I will. My husband now runs there 3 times a week for lunch. They have specials eve day like burger, BLT, Meatloaf. So happy we found it.

I ordered a custom birthday cake from “The Bake Shop”and it exceeded all expectations. Not only was it beautifully decorated — exactly how I imagined — but the flavor was out of this world. Moist, rich, and perfectly sweet. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and take real pride in their work. The staff was super friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. Everyone at the party was asking where the cake came from! Highly recommend this place for any special occasion.

I had the Bake Shop create my wedding cake and it was so beautiful and absolutely delicious! We got lemon cake with strawberry filling and it was so moist and the fruit tasted so fresh. Everyone at my wedding commented on how yummy our cake was and they really made it look exactly like the pictures I provided. They worked alongside my florist to make my wedding cake dreams come true. Also their cake icing is the best ever and if you needed only one reason to ever buy a cake from the Bake Shop, do it for the icing 😉

We ordered 11 dozen chocolate chip cookies to add to favor bags for our wedding. We obviously tried one before adding them to our guests’ boxes, and it was delicious! Ordering over the phone was quick and painless, as was pickup.
We also picked up a chocolate long john and blueberry and cheese croissant (recommended by the baker) for fun. That croissant was amazing and I’ll probably be back just for another one of those!
