The food was great! Drive a little past the turn for the highway and you won’t be sorry. This little restaurant had fantastic food, coloring books for the kids and friendly service. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are passing through.

We were looking for food after a long drive and had no expectations of this place. Really good find.
Server was friendly and helpful even though it was close to closing.
Food was DELICIOUS! I had fried chicken meal which was crisp and juicy. Wife had good sirloin steak cooked well. Cowboy beans and freshly cooked fries were a treat.
Very reasonably priced particularly for quality of cooking and good portion size.

A small town sit down restaurant with friendly and kind staff, great service, and delicious food. I’d recommend the Western Burger, both my sister and I loved it. Their fries are good, but I also enjoyed their mashed potatoes, and the rolls before the meal were delightful. It has a warm and inviting environment, and accommodated our group of 8 or so well.

Outstanding food and service! We had their special, BBQ Country Pork Ribs and it was delicious! Their fresh cut fries were my favorite! I got Cole Slaw and rolls too!!!! Being on the road you get a hankering for home cooking and this will satisfy that craving! There was tons more on the menu, for example hamburgers, cheese burgers, grilled cheese, fried chicken dinners and desserts! Great place!

This place is fantastic. We were staying in Kanab on New Year’s Eve, and decided to cross the border after reading some of the reviews. So worth the (short) trip.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We didn’t have a reservation, but they gave us a booth. By the time we had finished, the restaurant was almost full. All the customers appeared to be locals too.
Food was excellent. Home cooking, well cooked, good serving sizes.
I had the steak and shrimp special, with cowboy beans and loaded baked potato sides. Delicious.
My wife had chicken fried steak (aka beef schnitzel for Aussies) with brown gravy, mashed potato and coleslaw sides. She loved all of it.
One of the kids had the roast beef kid’s serve, and the other had a burger with fries. The roast beef was really nice. The fries were just as good as other reviewers have said. Without doubt, the best fries we’ve had in America.
None of us were able to finish our meals as the servings sizes were generous. Cost was very reasonable.
We took some leftovers home in a box, and order slices of home-made apple pie and peach pie to take home for supper.
Cowboy Butte Grill and Steakhouse served us one of the top 5 best overall restaurant meals we’ve had in 10 trips to America.

Little hidden place, which would deserve much more publicity! Typical American steakhouse with pleasant country music. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend to have a lunch at this place! Very relaxing spot after a long walk through Grand Canyon! (Sep 2017)

A local place..definitely not fancy, but clean and with a varied menu. Food was great home town comfort food. We had the fried chicken and fish & chips, with mashed potatoes and the garden salad as a couple of the sides. Chicken and fish were crisp and tasty outside and moist inside, side salad was plentiful and chuck full of fresh greens.. Best of all..our waitress was timely and accommodating..Overall..decent meal for a good price.
