Stopped here for a late lunch & were immediately greeted by Dave the bartender. He took great care of us! Shared his favorite items on the menu & he was very attentive. This place seems to be a local favorite – a lot of regulars were coming in while we were there. They have a cozy little dining room too but we usually prefer the bar. We enjoyed their French onion soup, whipped feta app with honey, pistachio, Aleppo pepper, fresh herbs & naan & a cod po boy. Not pictured – their hot chicken sandwich which was also a hit. We will definitely be back!

First let me start out by saying it’s very rare that I leave restaurant reviews of any kind. So if I do, you know it was above and beyond the norm. My friend and I were on a motorcycle ride and had planned to stop here, neither of us having been here before. We walked in today around 12:20ish and were quickly seated right next to the ridiculously cozy fireplace. I took one look at the brunch menu and then the specials menu and I was in love. I was torn between the chicken n waffles, biscuits and gravy and the crabby patty smash burger. So many amazing choices. The crabby patty was absolutely amazing, messy, but worth it. Our waitress was on top of everything, very nice, funny and attentive. The dining area has a very warm and cozy vibe. It wasn’t particularly busy when we were there, so will have to go back during dinner rush to see if the service is still excellent. This place is a hidden gem and has some truly wonderful dishes. I will definitely be going back as often as I can to try the whole menu.

Hagan’s is an amazing gem. Its nice that the bar area is seperate from the dining area. The cozy fireplace located in tge dining area, adds to Hagan’s charm. . The restaurant was clean and the tables were nicely set . We were able to enjoy live music while we eat and chatted. Our server Tia was really friendly and helpful. The seasonal menu provides you with a variety of choices using fresh ingredients. The fresh ingredients were so beautifully and carefully used in each dish. Our party shared starters, deviled eggs, mac and cheese, wings with Alabama White sauce and the Buffalo chicken french fries.
Once we had the starters and realized how elevated the flavors were, we got even more excited to try the main dishes. Our main dishes did not disappoint. (Hot chicken, Fried Chicken, Brisket). They were absolutely delicious. The flavors in each dish definitely leaves you wanting more. If you are comfortable being surprised then I fully recommend the Chefs choice menu.
You cant go wrong with anything on the Menu at Hagan’s.

I’m a frequent flyer at Hagan’s. LOVE The Dip, The Wedge, ribs, the Mexican corn, and mostly everything that they offer. They do change their menu seasonally as they only use fresh produce, locally butchered meats, and other seasonal products. I have never been disappointed with any of the new menu items, although I wasn’t a big fan of the catfish po’boy or the blueberry skillet dessert. The staff and owners are always professional and friendly. I prefer to eat al fresco, but the indoor dining is ample and usually quiet. They also offer a meal delivery/pick-up plan, which I’m going to subscribe to soon. Hagan’s is my favorite area restaurant. Trust me when I say that you won’t be disappointed if you stop by.

One of the most interesting and creative restaurants around. The menu changes regularly, and has both innovative and traditional appetizers and entrees, but my favorite is far and away the nightly omekase, or chef’s choice. It’s for the adventurous eater – the dish is a surprise, with the diner not knowing what he’s going to get until it arrives at the table! It’s a chance for the chef to really shine, using ingredients he’s sourced that day and recipes he’s interested in trying out. I’ve had this every time we’ve gone, and have always been delighted – some of the omekase I’ve had were sliced filet on blue cheese grits with collards, bbq burnt ends on barbecued beets, crab-stuffed catfish, and grilled salmon on red beet rice. For the adventurous foodie, this is a real treat! Super friendly staff, and a comfortable casual atmosphere with a full bar.

We were in the area for a short family weekend getaway and chose this restaurant based on the many positive Google reviews. It was supposed to be a great ending to our trip — unfortunately, it wasn’t.
The table we were given wasn’t properly cleaned and felt sticky, the chairs and even the floor was sticky to the touch. Our waiter (a tall guy with a beard and long hair) was okay but not particularly friendly.
The food was hit or miss. The chicken wings were average (3/5), and the burgers were just okay as well. They ran out of French fries…The butternut squash soup, however, was unique and flavorful — probably the highlight of the meal.
Surprisingly, the restaurant offered an omakase option, which I’d never seen outside a Japanese place. I decided to try it, but it turned out to be one of the worst dishes I’ve ever had in a restaurant — shockingly oversalted and overseasoned to the point of being inedible.
Service wasn’t great either. Our waiter disappeared for long stretches, and the bartender had to cover for him. She was kind and clearly trying her best, but I felt bad seeing her run back and forth between the bar and dining area.
Overall, the dinner left a bad aftertaste — both literally and figuratively. The place has potential, but it feels unmanaged and lacking attention to detail.

During the week, we might drop in and have a cocktail + dessert and hang out. The food is a little limited (especially if you’re vegetarian or only eat certain meats), but what we’ve gotten has been good! We normally dine in the bar section of the room, either at a high-top or at the bar, and the atmosphere has always been welcoming. Sometimes they have live music too! That’s always a treat. The live music can get a little loud, but it plays into the bar/grill atmosphere.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Hagans! We decided to stop here on our way to Jim Thorpe, and boy am I glad we did. We started with the flatbread which was AMAZING. The spinach artichoke spread on stop went so well and it was perfectly toasted. My husband ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich and he said it was perfect. I had the Reuben and everything about it was delicious, I’m usually a pastrami gal but the corned beef was so tender, the fries were nice and crispy and salted just right. As we were eating, we got to meet one of the owners, Brandee. She was so kind and personable, after hearing that we were headed to celebrate our anniversary, she offered us a free desert, which was unexpected but very generous. We chose the banana pudding and OMG. You’ll have to try it for yourself, so good. I can’t say enough good things about Hagans. The atmosphere was fantastic and the fireplace was such a nice touch. I’m so glad we made the choice to stop here, we will definitely be back.

Best place to go!! We do the 45 minute drive at least once a week to come here!
The food is absolutely incredible. Few things I would highly recommend are..
• Wings: always crispy! our favorite wings in the area
• Pb&J: don’t knock it till you try it! easily the best thing on the menu. Could be a meal or a dessert!
• Omakase: The chef will cook up something special for you! (it’s a surprise so you don’t know what it is until it’s in front of you) You can let your server or bartender know of you have any food allergies! Never had a bad surprise meal
• The Dip: to her avocado salsa in the sandwich really adds something to it! So delicious
• French fries: BEST fries i’ve ever had. seasoned perfectly. Always crispy.
The atmosphere here doesn’t get better. You have such a great mix of people. Everyone is friendly!
The bartenders are out of this world! So attentive and really get to know their customers.
I would give this place 10 stars if I could. If you haven’t tried it here, you’re missing out!!
