We began our evening with the Soufflé di Zucchini, a delicate zucchini soufflé served in a creamy white truffle sauce and topped with thin, crisped zucchini slices. Light and flavorful, it set the tone for a truly enjoyable meal. For our main courses, we shared two standouts. The Veal Scaloppini featured tender medallions of veal sautéed in a bright lemon-caper sauce, served with perfectly roasted potatoes and a colorful mix of tender vegetables—comforting, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. The Spaghetti Carbonara was rich and satisfying, with al dente pasta coated in a silky egg-and-pecorino sauce and just the right amount of black pepper to bring everything together.
We ended the meal with the Tartufo al Limone, a creamy lemon sorbet encased in a delicate citrus shell. Bright, smooth, and refreshing, it was the perfect way to finish the evening.
The staff was friendly and professional, and the dining room was stylish yet comfortable—an ideal setting for conversation and connection. Valet parking made the visit even easier. Il Segreto is a wonderful place to meet friends or family from the Valley, West LA, or beyond. I’m already looking forward to the next visit. Be sure to check it out!
I’ve been here a few times now and it’s consistently great. The pasta tastes homemade, the sauces are rich but not heavy, and everything is seasoned perfectly. The staff is so friendly and they don’t rush you, even when it’s busy. Definitely my go-to spot when I’m craving something comforting and a really cozy atmosphere. The wines are a nice selection too. The server Nicola is such a kind and caring server, we hope to see him again!
If you are looking for a quiet relaxing dining experience, this is not the place for you. The place is very crowded.
However, if you are looking for an authentic Italian experience with some of the best pasta in town this place is guaranteed to leave you wanting more.
