Made the Right Way. Every Day. There’s a reason our bagels taste different–they’re made the traditional way. At Manhattan Bagel, we give each bagel a dip in a kettle of boiling water, then bake them fresh each morning. That’s how we get our authentic shiny bagels with a crispy, golden crust on the outside and that soft, satisfying chew inside. No shortcuts. Just real, authentic bagels made the way they were always meant to be. We kettle-boil our bagels to lock in that shine and crunch, then bake them fresh daily for a chewy, golden bite. No shortcuts, just the classic NY method – done right, right here, every day.

Always a great atmosphere with friendly service. I’ve been going here since it was Einstein’s bagel and it is still very much a stable of Wall Township Breakfast places. The line moves very quickly and the food comes out swiftly as well, usually never more than a five minute wait. Great hospitality from the staff and I love all of their croissant offerings. The bagels are authentic and not to bread heavy, and their spreads are great, particularly their different kinds of cream cheese. Their rewards program is great as well, as you can quickly rack up points to get new offers and money off next time you order.

Unfortunately, this store has gone downhill. $6 for a bagel with practically no cream cheese is a complete rip off. Quality control between stores is horrible. I stopped in a Manhattan bagel in Forked river / lacy and got the same order a day later and it was 2 dollars less with triple the amount of cream cheese . Would not recommend the Wall store there are a lot of other bagel stores in this area that are just as good and way more reasonable priced

I’m so impressed with what the new owners of The Manhattan Bagel in Wall Township have done to improve the store! The staff is amazing—always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to see you. I’ve been a fan of their coffee ever since the location was an Einstein Bros. Bagels, and I’m happy to say the high-quality coffee has stayed just as consistent over the years.

What’s really changed with the new ownership is the quality of the food. The pork roll is hands down the best in town, and I recently discovered for lunch, Manhattan Bagel makes the best sandwiches around. Of course, their bagels are top-notch, and my personal go-to is the Asiago bagel with jalapeño cream cheese—absolutely perfect every time.

I ordered three things on croissants but they were out of croissants which is fine, that happens, no big deal, but disappointing nonetheless. I got two chicken salad sandwiches and they didn’t taste like anything except for a little bit of pepper but it was like eating cold, chunky, nothing with lettuce and tomato. I also got classic croissant with a breakfast meat and an added hash brown but put in the notes “no egg please” and instead of sausage, cheese, and hashbrown I got a running egg, hashbrown, with cheese. I couldn’t tell you how it tasted because I didn’t eat it because there was yoke on everything so it wasn’t like I could just pick off the egg which I would have done if I could’ve. The people were really nice and it looked really nice inside. This was my first time trying this place and so maybe I just caught them on an off day and the chicken salad isn’t their strongest dish or something and they’re usually better but I was dissatisfied with everything I ordered. I didn’t like the food but the people were very nice.

Edit:
I gave the egg and cheese to my sister and she said that it was “worse than mediocre. Edible, but not good” and that it was a hashbrown with one piece of cheese, one running egg, smothered in ketchup. She doesn’t normally get ketchup on her sandwiches though, so grain of salt.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to say something. The service at this Manhattan Bagel location was honestly awful. Staff seemed disorganized and uninterested, and no one acknowledged the growing line for over 20 minutes. I waited nearly 30 minutes for a simple bagel and coffee- no exaggeration.

When I finally got my order, it was wrong and cold. No apology, no effort to fix it, just a shrug. It’s clear there’s a serious lack of management or training here. There are plenty of other spots nearby that value your time and get it right- I won’t be coming back to this one.

Sorry staff but that extra dollar or 2 I would normally throw into the tip jar is now going to your management’s rising prices. ‍♂️

Unfortunately this place has gone downhill. I’d rather drive to another Manhattan bagel than this spot. Even with the new owners, the service was extremely slow and they got our order wrong. Every time I order a whole wheat everything bagel, they mess it up and give me a regular whole wheat bagel. Listen when people order!! This has happened multiple times. My husband and I used to go there since we live so close but we do not go anymore. The bagel quality is not the same as other Manhattan bagel locations, for some reason these are chewy. For the price, it’s not worth it
