Meat-filled sandwiches, fried seafood & burgers at an outpost of a stalwart local fast-food chain.

We are in town for work and travel a lot, we haven’t seen this place.Anywhere and decided to give it a try.Since we couldn’t get in across the street at blonchon i’d definitely advise you to Come here and try their lobster rolls and their shrimp. That’s what we had. It was amazing i am prepared to perfection, melissa was a great crew member that walked us through her menu and explain the different foods and even told us her favorites. The rest of the crew has went over and beyond for our food and service . Shout out to melissa, madysem, Pedro (not the one from napoleon dynamite) lol, amber and Socrates. They all played a good part in preparing our food tonight. That was amazing.I’m happy we stopped in. tasted a little bit of love in there. If you do go there and try this food, make sure you leave a review of your order. And your service, it will definitely help them grow. And if you’re reading this far, i’m just gonna let the next person know go in there with kindness and you’re going to be treated with kindness and that goes for anywhere you go start the conversation well.

This was my second time ordering and picking up Kelly’s using the DoorDash service in the last three months. The first time my wife and I ordered everything was 5 out of 5 stars with our food and experience. On this evening’s order, the food was ready when I arrived. The most recent order was on Labor Day, so it seemed like staffing was light. There were two people in front of me waiting on their orders to be wrapped up. I remember the staff seemed a little more welcoming during my last visit. I wouldn’t want to be working when everyone else is enjoying the day off. I did add a tomato on my sandwich through the app, and this was missed.
With the items I was more critical of about my experience out of the way, the food was excellent. I ordered the Roast Beef Sandwich with Au Jus and a Caesar Salad Half. We also ordered a Large Onion Ring. They included several sides of Au Jus, Caesar Salad Dressing, and Ketchup packets. I was very impressed that they didn’t leave us wanting for our Au Jus and salad dressing.
Based on another positive experience, we will definitely return again to Kelly’s Roast Beef.

The roast beef is very good, I’m glad I got to try this place! The service is friendly and the restaurant in a good condition. We had a small issue where our number was picked up from the table before our food arrived (our mistake for leaving it alone while we were pouring our drinks), so we ended up having to wait additional time for the food to be redone, as it was sent to another customer that got assigned the same number after us. But no big deal, the food was still fantastic and the staff made it up to us fairly quickly.

Before I left MA, I was able dig into fried clams with the bellies. Overall, the food was great. They use a delicate batter that make the clams and onion rings tasty. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend but the restaurant was clean. It lacked a “homey ” feel of New England restaurants of the past (Red Coach Grill), but it did have great lighting.

There are probably 100 places to eat in Worcester. Kelly’s roast beef is nicely nestled between two of those large national food chains where what you get in Worcester is the same thing you get anywhere. Kelly’s is a unique institution in this area and it is completely worth a visit. Whether you eat inside the clean restaurant, or choose to drive-through there’s something for everyone on the Kelly’s menu. Obviously you might choose the roast beef sandwiches, but they have burgers and seafood as well. Also, the staff is friendly and attentive. The service is speedy and the prices are fair. If you’re looking to try something that you might fall in love with, try Kelly’s roast beef.

I am glad that Kelly’s is back within reach of where I live. The food is still as good as I remember.
The only thing that I am not a fan of is the dining area. It feels too commercial. Almost like a hospital cafeteria. There is nothing to absorb and deaden the sounds created by other diners so you end up having to talk over The noise that is echoing around. This is worsened by having the ordering line and waiting line gather through the dining area.
The dining area at the Natick store was more inviting and felt more personal, quieter. The ordering and waiting areas were not amongst the diners, and I liked the fish tank they had there.

Okay probably my mistake for not ordering roast beef, I ordered chicken tenders with fries and onion rings, chili, turkey wrap. I’m wondering if anybody that’s work there has eating that food as just like taste testing. Because it’s awful. The chicken tenders were good. The fries were decent. The onion rings were not good onion ring onions comedy were tasteless, they were also unsalted and Floury. I’m not sure it was up with the chili, it was a whole bunch of stringing meat.

Kelly’s is the opposite of its neighbor Chic fillet. While Chic fillet is a model of efficiency at serving customers Kelly’s is not. When we entered the place it was empty with only a couple customers. The server took our order a plate of chicken tenders for the kids and surf and turf roast beef and a lobster roll for myself and a scallop roll for my wife.
We waited a good 15 min for our order and in that time period watched two different people come in stand at the counter and be ignored by waitstaff and both ended up walking out without ordering. When our meal arrived my wife’s food wasn’t in the bag. When I questioned the server she forgot to enter in my wife’s order. How I have know idea the store was empty and dead silent and we ordered three items? Both the roast beef & lobster roll were alright but nothing to write home about especially for that price point 30s. Seeing the quality of service or lack there of my wife didn’t want to wait for another meal and we just split mine. The chicken tender plate was just a typical chicken tenders you’d find on any kids menu. I predict Kelly’s doesn’t survive in that location in the city with those prices points while providing sub part service the staff is super unmotivated. There are so many superb family restaurants in the Park Ave area do not waste your time or money with Kelly’s it’s a big disappointment.

First time.. The outside and inside of the restaurant is very appealing.. Nice set up of tables inside. Clean all around, for the most part.. Service was timely n friendly. Roast beef sandwich was good, could’ve been warmer. Fries were good, though a bit oversalted.. Help yourself to any drink of your choice, with more and what kinds of, to choose from.. Overall a good experience.. T.Y.
