We stopped here after visiting the local winery and this place did not disappoint! The food was great and service very friendly. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen a pot of charro beans on a table for anyone to serve themselves. You can eat all the charro beans you wish. The prices were good, too. If we are ever back this way, we will make a point to come back.

We have driven thru Valley Mills many years now for ball games etc south of here. This time we needed dinner beforehand and searched for options. El Molcajete doesn’t look like much from the outside but don’t be fooled, it is extremely good-authentic Mexican Food! We enjoyed it so much I never even stopped to get a pic of the food.

We weren’t planning on eating here. We really didn’t know where to go for supper. We looked at reviews and decided to try it out. We were not let down at all. Great wait staff, amazing food, and the desert was so good I ate it gone before I got a picture. 🙂 Well worth the drive.

Great authentic Mexican food. One of few places that actually have horchatta daily. The Molcajete Sabor a Mexico is a great go to dish for a party of two or four. They season everything really well and the tortillas are made fresh in-house. We would highly recommend checking this place out if you want real Mexican food.

This place is amazing! The owners and staff are incredible and the food is delicious and always fresh! The service is great whether you call your order in to go or sit down and eat! I recently recommended my friends from DFW to stop there when they came in town for a visit and they were so surprised with how fair the prices were and how big the portions were. We were passing through town and stopped here on a whim for lunch. It was excellent! The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was great. It was the best food we had during the time we were in this area of Texas. We had the chimichanga and fajitas, and they were fantastic. One thing that was unusually good was the perfectly cooked onions and bell peppers. They were still crunchy and tasted fresh while not being raw. The charro beans were also unusually excellent. And the lemonade! I highly recommend it–light and refreshing and not too sweet, not too sour.
