I’ve been buying Piantedosi bread for years, but the most recent loaf I purchased had a bit of dark dust on the side of the bread that didn’t look right. I sent a message to the company after dinner and had an email in my inbox at 8 AM the following morning apologizing and looking to coordinate the easiest way for them to replace the bread for me. I subsequently received a call from a different employee who asked for some more information and photos so he could investigate. I got a call back from him shortly after sending the photos explaining that the dark dust was from the hearth that they bake the bread in. Although it was harmless, he said he was sorry that the bread didn’t look perfect and for the trouble I had to go through. This is the best customer service I can remember receiving. Thanks to Gail and Joe for being prompt, professional, and kind!
I absolutely love their Breads!!!
I ran a sub shop and used this bread delivered fresh every day.
they are now freezing the bread. even if you pick it up in malden …they give you previously frozen bread. This used to be the best sub roll you could get anywhere in Massachusetts.
I understand it’s more efficient to freeze the bread …but your killing your family business.
