Fantastic little Thai restaurant. Everything feels and tastes as if I were right back in Thailand, with decidedly refined atmosphere and style. The Pra Nam and Orange Chicken were amazing. Absolutely best Orange Chicken I have ever had from any restaurant – crunchy and delightfully sweet without being overpowering. 10/10 worth a visit if you are in Portland!

Picked a random Thai place to try. Read the reviews and BAM! Mom & Pop and locals establishment. Checked all my happy boxes of support. O.M.G. EAT HERE! 1. It’s adorable. 2. Fast service, like whoa. 3. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS I’m addicted to Thai spicy beef salads, did not disappoint. Spicy green beans, also a crowd pleaser. My roommate got the duck with tangerine sauce, she stopped speaking after the first bite we got spring rolls and the fresh rolls, just perfect. I’ve got so much leftovers I’m eating good for the next 3 days! SERIOUSLY! GO HERE!

Incredibly lovely place. I wish they are more packed because they’re so underrated. I’ve road tripped across the US trying random Thai places and this is a true gem that I’m glad is so close to home. The pad Thai was perfectly sauced, flavorful, and a nice chewy texture. The panang curry was nutty and deep with tons of flavor and fresh vegetables. The rice was fluffy. I tip extra for how lovely these people are and how much they deserve it. Highly, highly recommend supporting this spot!

My go-to Thai takeout on Hawthorne. $14 for Pad Kee Mao with Chicken (essentially drunken noodles). Huge portion lasts me two meals.
Egg rolls are also great (you get like five or six, not just two like many other Portland Thai spots).
It’s always super hot (temperature) and ready within 10-15 minutes.
Please go here and support them I love their food.

The best service I’ve had in a long time. Hands down some delicious and flavorful Thai food, to where I’ll make the 40 minute drive again. They definitely take pride in what they serve to their customers.

Khao Thai is consistently the best in quality and quantity in the south east neighborhood. Better than ladda , better than nakwhon- I have tried all the Thai in the Portland area and nothing hits the spot better. Trust. It’s so underrated. It tastes so authentic , just like home but better .

The Thai restaurant offered reasonable prices and generous portions. The staff was friendly, and both my green curry and papaya salad were tasty.
