I’ve visited this Blaze location three times and all experiences were excellent. The food is fresh & dining area is clean. I love the “high rise” dough (it’s essentially double dough), and ask for it to be cooked well done – it comes out perfect! If you’re paying for the build-your-own, you can ask for them to put more of something on. I usually ask for more cheese. Customer service is excellent. I hope you give them a try!

After reading reviews for this place, I was nervous to give it a try and had low expectations. I had a coupon to use so that’s what brought me in. To my surprise, I really enjoyed this place. Idk if older reviews are from when they first opened, but my pizza was crispy, not at all greasy, and really good! The service was fast, the employees were very friendly, and it was so fun getting to pick my own toppings like at subway! Restaurant was also very clean. I will definitely be back. Picture is of my pizza with vegan cheese. My partner got a chicken pesto one (no photo of his), and he also thoroughly enjoyed it!

First time ordering here, not from the area but go to Mardens once or twice a month.
So lI ooked over in the parking lot, stomach growled, I signed up on their app and ordered a 11″ plain cheese pizza , as I always do at new places with a side of meat balls.
Gotta say, I was blown away with how good it is.
The wood fired pizza was cooked to perfection, thin crust ,which is what I grew up eating on Long Island , NY, was excellent, but the sauce, the sauce is the most flavorful I have had in the 14 years I been living in Maine .
The side of meatballs were awesome too, the scoop of ricotta is the perfect touch.
Looking forward to trying out the other items when I come back!

Avoid. This is a cross contamination nightmare if you have a gluten allergy. Employee (who appeared to be the manager) grabbed the gf crust without changing gloves. There was flour all over the counter. All ingredients were in common containers (no separate ones for gf). The pizza was impossible to eat as it wasn’t cooked through and simple fell apart. While the flavor was fine, the texture was some of the worst I’ve had. I expressed concern to the manager about unsafe practices for gluten sensitivity, but he didn’t seem to understand what the issue was. Hopefully they fix the issues they have, because we’ve had gf Blaze pizza at other locations with no problems. Until then, we will not come back.

We went to Blaze Pizza in Portland Maine today. What a great experience. They overheard us mention it was my son’s birthday and when we were almost finished, they brought us free deserts and said did we hear it’s someone’s birthday? The staff was so amazingly sweet. So welcoming. I can’t say enough great things about this first time experience.

Staff was very friendly. My group did build your owns pizzas but they were AMAZING. They’d had brick oven/subway like pizza places in Texas so I’m SO HAPPY we got one up here in Portland.

This is the second time I’ve been to Blaze. The first time I ordered the carnivore and they forgot the balsamic glaze – they had just opened so I let it go and decided to give it another shot. Tonight we ordered 5 pizzas for pick up one of which being the carnivore and this time the balsamic drizzle was a balsamic drench. Absolutely no in between. I’ll give it a try and third time and see if it was the crew or what not but it’s not my first choice to go due to inconsistency. Everyone when I went in the first time was super pleasant and kind so they do have a great staff from what I saw. More training may be beneficial here though!
