I have been coming to this restaurant for years. I have always enjoyed their food, even when their prices increased and the portion sizes decreased. I still stayed loyal because it felt like my spot.
On this trip, I’m not sure what happened, but my food was overcooked, the chicken was dry, and the rice didn’t have that comforting flavor I’ve grown so used to. It honestly made me sad. I don’t know if there are new employees or something else going on, but I hate to think I might have to say goodbye to my favorite Chinese restaurant.
I ordered the house fried rice—my usual—and I’m used to it being packed with chicken, shrimp, and pork. Normally, it’s so good and so plentiful that I have enough for dinner and for lunch the next day. This time, it just wasn’t the same, and that really disappointed me.

I haven’t done any reviews in a while but I thought I’d add this one. I ordered the general tso chicken with shrimp fried rice, the lunch combination and it the price was hoo for the amount of food they give you. They give you a plate full. The people are so nice as well. If you haven’t been here definitely stop by and check it out.

The food is good but the service is iffy.
I was charged $52 for the food because the girl who took my to go order ignored my requests for side dishes 3 times and gave me dinner portions instead (which I didn’t see until I arrived at the place to pick up*)
Small side veggie lo mein with only broccoli is what I requested and instead got a large veggie lo mein with everything.
I also requested a small side of sesame chicken (ONLY THE CHICKEN) & again she ignored me and put it in for a dinner combo which comes with rice.
I ordered 1 egg roll and she put in for 2.
The best thing flavor wise was the lo mein, sesame chicken, & the crab ragoons i ordered. Also the rice is very dry, no flavor, and tastes old.
But sadly I probably won’t order from here for a long time again and if i do It won’t be over the phone because they think they can play with you.
* and that red sauce you see everywhere is because they just tossed the crab ragoon sauce in the bag and it spilled over on everything.

Very nice. The restaurant has been updated from the outdated look that it had before the new owners took over. Fresh paint on the walls and the entire floor has been updated. The restaurant has a more gentle feel. It is exceptionally clean. The walls the windows the bathroom and all of the tables were perfectly spaced and seemed to have a degree of social distancing factored in. Now the food, it was excellent. It was cooked fresh and it was hot. On this day I ordered the Generals Chicken with fried rice. The rice wasn’t sticky and the pieces of chicken were flavorful. The egg roll was freshly cooked and equally delicious.

I’m no Chinese Food connoisseur but this is the second time I’ve tried this place since I was in the area and both times I wasn’t disappointed. First time I tried the chicken and broccoli and that was really good. This time I had the shrimp and broccoli with lo mein. The shrimp are small but the broccoli and brown sauce was really good and flavorful. I also had 2 spring rolls which I thought were smaller than usual but were pretty good. The sweet tea was nice and sweet also. Overall good experience, no complaints really. Oh, I also had my food door dashed and it arrived hot, fresh, and very well packaged.

The food at fortune cookie 8 is soooo delicious and the customer service is also nice especially one the employee named tweet is soo kind she guided me step by step through the process of ordering the food which looks beautiful and unique in its own way. The first food the I had ordered was the fried Chinese donut and the crab Rangoon which was my first appetizer to begin my meal and they tasted magnificent, or in short delicious. 10 out of 10 would order them for appetizers again. They were also crispy.

I ordered firecracker shrimp and let’s just say I received firecracker onions. This is a rip off. They need to put less onions in this dish unless you’re a person who likes no loves onions this much. Very disappointed.
