Enjoyed this restaurant, it was something different than the usual choices. We stopped for a small lunch, so we got 3 different appetizers. Rather expensive for the food quantity but all tasted great. We got Peking Duck Buns, Veggie Spring Rolls, Curry Puffs. The Peking Duck buns were not my favorite but my husband loved them. They had great flavor but odd texture, felt like raw dough texture to me. The Spring Rolls were good, but I felt not much flavor. The Curry Puffs were good too but again I felt not much curry flavor. They served a carafe of water with cucumbers, very nice touch and refreshing. The restaurant appears new, very nice and super clean. We sis not try any of the meals, all pretty expensive for lunchtime.

Pad Thai noodles were a little undercooked and the shrimp were big and de-tailed which I liked, but they were slightly overcooked. The family running this place were very nice and the atmosphere is very clean but very white and stark. Its not cozy and warm like many Asian restaurants. Probably most of the local business is take out where folks can eat in the comfort of their own home.
When I’m in the area I will stop back and try another dish.

I do not understand why this place does not have a line out the door all day every day. The food is EXQUISITE, super fresh and high quality ingredients, and priced right for the portions. To top it off, the interior is beautiful and the staff is so welcoming and helpful. I was skeptical due to the name “street food” and not being sure what that exactly meant but what I found upon trying it was all my Thai food favorites, done 10x better and more authentically than any other restaurant in the area. Highly recommend you go now before this place becomes the Thai version of Primo! P.s. gluten free items are all labeled on the menu!

This place is beyond amazing. Picked the mix two option with crispy spring rolls and chicken pad Thai. This is genuinely some of the freshest Thai food I have ever experienced! I would absolutely recommend giving Ka Chai a try and will 100% be back in the future!!

Absolutely incredible – what a pleasant surprise. The spring rolls are very fresh, the Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai are outstanding – very light, not not oily and FULL of fresh flavor with just enough heat. Very clean establishment too – pristine bathrooms, shiny kitchen an friendly staff. Truly terrific!!

Fantastic thai food near the Prison Showroom in Thomaston, Maine. I had the Drunken Noodles and loved the spice and complexity of the dish. My partner tried the Pad Thai and enjoy how light and savory it was. Thrilled to have such a quality restaurant in Thomaston!

Delicious authentic Thai food. I thought the prices were high but the portions are huge so I’m not complaining. I appreciate that they use coconut cream and not dairy. But I must warn- they give a spice rating of 1-10 that I think could use some improvement. I chose 2 and it was super spicy, a little too much even. So, be conservative! Otherwise, this place is great for take-out or dine in! I got garlic beef and green curry.

Had two appetizers and the Penang curry, all amazing! Compares with Thai I have had in Seattle and LA. It came with just a few tablespoons of rice, I would ask for several serving of rice the next time.
