In the 1950’s my grandma lived on Frankfurt ave (very close). I’m just thinking if this bar is still open it must be for a good reason. Congratulations on a very long run.

Went a few times while being back in town. Great little neighborhood bar! Food is decent and beer is cold. Staff and other customers friendly! Recommend to anyone.

Just a great local bar with great staff. Rachel is very attentive and friendly. My favorite thing is their ABCs of beer. They have a beer for each letter of the alphabet and keep a card on file for you. Once you complete all 26 you get a shirt.

The perfect place for a bite and a beer! Their fish sandwiches are amazing! You can’t beat the prices and their service is always friendly. Great place to watch a game or enjoy one of their fun events. We spend our time in the dining room which is kid friendly with a big tv, separate from the bar area. Couldn’t pick a better local tavern as your go to spot!

What a great place. Family owned and operated. My husband who is now 65 would eat there for lunch at 19. As they call her Grandma Rose was a kind and friendly person. Now it is run by her family. The food is delicious. And the family is amazing. Eat and drink local at Howard’s Tavern.

The service was excellent. Friendly and welcoming patrons. Smoking is allowed inside, but no one was smoking while I was there. Separate dining area. Handicap ramp out front. Food is good at a great price. Wings are really good.

It’s a nice neighborhood bar, the price for drinks are insanely reasonable. Same with food.
The staff work hard and can keep a conversation, and they will switch between watching Jeopardy to a jukebox or sports game depending on what the crowd wants.
My main compliment is that the bar is extremely clean and has good lighting. It’s not a place to hide in a corner.
It’s kind of like cheers. It’s definitely the Cheers of the north hills

Come here weekly with my dad. Good place to stop for a drink, owners are very chill and accommodating. crowd is usually relaxed and it’s not too busy. Come support your local small business – they deserve it!
