Made with high-quality ingredients, Bunk sandwiches are creative and comforting, satisfying and delicious. Bunk’s signature sandwiches – such as the Bunk Cubano, the Meatball Parmiagano Hero, and the Italian Cured Meats- have garnered national media attention from the likes of The Food Network, Food & Wine Magazine, and Travel + Leisure. The praise from national and local media have made Bunk a favorite for locals as well as a must-eat option for visitors.
In 2010, Tommy and Nick joined forces with Bladen County Records founder and legendary barman, Matt Brown. Together, they opened the original Bunk Bar on SE Water Ave, bringing some of the best and most non-traditional indie rock shows that the Pacific NW has ever seen.

We got the cubano and soppressata sandwich. Best cubano I’ve had, but I think the soppressata was my favorite of the two! The bread was fantastic, flavors were beautifully blended and overall a really great sandwich.

Great mushroom melt sandwich, drinks, Tommy Stinson, Karla Moheno , and Little Venom show! Felt like I was 19 again, except for no missing because I’d die.

It’s been a while since I visited Bunk’s. I like that this location has a spacious interior and is counter service. We ordered their special sandwich for the week along with some Pickles and loaded fries. The sandwich was flavorful and tasty. The loaded fries could’ve been a bit better if they melted the cheese (in my opinion). The pickles were a solid add as it helped cleanse the pallet from the savory items.

The space is s huge and works great for a group meet up. The food is yummy, I do wish the sandwiches came w/ chips, esp for the price.
Curtis is an amazing bartender and has an always smiling. He is kind and quick and can handle a large crowd. Great job!

This place rocks. Their Portland sandwich week special was amazing. I had one of the best Cesar salads I’ve had in a while! Their waffle fries are also delish.

Great food! Amazing BLT.
Waiter initially messed up our order but we laughed it off, he seemed tired. Waiters have it tough anyway.
Atmosphere was nice! Very homely feel, a bit bare though.
Waffle fries are amazing!

This is a good place to meet up for lunch with a friend or for a small lunch business meeting. They specialize in sandwiches, salads and a full bar. The booths are comfortable and right up against a wall of windows looking out onto Water St. I had a good 1/3 lb. Cheeseburger that I’d give a 4 out of 5 star rating. My friend had a roasted turkey sandwich that looked very good and he chowed it down. The food is priced decently and has a large selection of drinks and a kids’ menu with a cheeseburger on it (not many do anymore). They occasionally have live music from local bands and the sound here is great. Recommended!

Saw a show here for the first time recently. Venue was a bit overcrowded, but the real standout experience was that the music was too loud. As somebody who frequently goes to a lot of shows across town, it feels super weird to complain about the music being too loud, but I (and my friends) had to step out of the show multiple times because our ears were hurting. Even my friends who go to punk and hardcore shows were complaining about the volume, and the bartenders couldn’t even hear our orders. They sold earplugs at the bar, but it was disappointing to visit a venue for the first time and have the experience ruined because the music was so loud it physically hurt. We were there to see a country band too.

Went to check this place out while in Portland. Really cool Bar deli.
My Italian was amazing, meats were fresh hot peppers slaw was delicious and the bread was perfect.
Beautiful day to sit outside as well. It’s Portland so not a lot of parking on the street but it’s well worth it if you could walk or take your car. Either way cool fun place to catch a bite to eat.
Great service. Great recommendations on food and drinks.
Would I go here again, absolutely.

Had one of the most memorable Halloween experiences ever this last Friday. The staff behind the bar was awesome, and the sandwiches were as delicious as always. Super thankful to see them doing shows more often again and continuing to be one of my favorite places to grab a frosty drink, a delicious bite, and if you’re lucky, a show that’ll knock your socks off. The fried chicken sandwich slays, and the POG slushy is my best friend forever. Thanks to everyone who helped create an amazing evening and experience.
