For 38 years, Castelli’s Ristorante has been a true gem in the desert dining scene, and it’s easy to see why it has stood the test of time. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed into a warm, relaxing atmosphere that feels both elegant and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in, slow down, and genuinely enjoy the experience.

The service is excellent and attentive without ever feeling intrusive. The staff clearly takes pride in what they do, making guests feel valued and well cared for from start to finish. It’s refreshing to dine somewhere that understands hospitality at this level, a professional, polished, and genuinely friendly. And you can even speak Italian to them, if you want.

And then there’s the food, phenomenal across the board! The extensive menu offers something for everyone, and every dish is prepared with care and flavor. Portions are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied (and likely with leftovers). Castelli’s isn’t just a meal, it’s a dining experience that keeps people coming back year after year. If you are an Italian food lover, put this stop on your bucket list, you will not leave disappointed.

Our first time to Castelli’s and it did not disappoint! It has several spaces with differing atmospheres, spectacular service and wonderful food.
Our party of five shared the Bruschetta and the Toasted Artichoke Hearts and they were very good. I added a cup of Minestrone for myself and it might be the best Minestrone I’ve ever had! Entrees around the table included Fettuccine Alfredo w/Chicken, Linguine Al Pomodoro Fresco, and the Seafood Trio Special with Shrimp, Lobster Tail, and Scallops. Everyone in our party seemed very happy with their entrees. I, for one, am usually leery of scallops because at some restaurants they end up being cold and rubbery, but these were cooked perfectly and were very tasty. Desserts included the Chocolate Lava Cake A La Mode, and they were all good, as well.
The service was amazing! Pretty much every server in the room stopped by at least once to make sure we had everything we needed. When the tray of entrees came out we had several servers distributing food so that no one was waiting.
We look forward to returning to the Palm Springs Metro area in the future and paying another visit to Castelli’s. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for an older Italian, you found the spot. Staff were friendly. But the food tasted a bit off. Chicken was dry without the sauce. Veggies weren’t cooked all the way. Pasta was good tho!

Everything about this this place was exemplary! From the fantastic waiters who were we attentive to our needs, to the water boy who kept our water glasses filled at all times, to the other fellow who came around to scoop up the crumbs. It was apparent this was no ordinary restaurant. We were being treated extra special! Not to mention that, coming from someone who likes to cook, the preparation of each dish was absolutely fabulous! I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. I look forward to returning. As a Italian American myself, I felt very at home. Bravo – five stars!

Excellent meal, great atmosphere. Dad’s birthday and everyone loved their food. Tortellini may have been best I’ve ever had. Service was perfect… warm and vigilant, but not performative. Setting feels elegant without getting too fancy. Too bad we couldn’t hear much piano from the back room. Looking forward to next time.

if i could give Castelli’s 6 stars, i would do it. this was just a great place. the servers were attentive and always available. the wine list was varied with great choices. the food was STELLAR. i had a special, veal spiedini that was flavorful and just melted in your mouth. our other dishes were beef tortellini and chicken w artichoke hearts. they were great. the garlic bread alone is worth the journey to visit there.
this place reminds us of our favorite Italian joints in KC…the atmosphere, the pics on the walls. it is the real deal.

My wife and I had dinner last night on New Year’s Eve. We were not impressed. They originally sat us in the very back room close to the kitchen where doors were slamming every 5 minutes loud enough to shake the walls. I eventually asked them to move us and they put us up at the very front in the covered patio right next to the door which was not good given it was cold and raining last night. I again asked them to move us and we finally got a table in the corner in the covered patio area away from the door. Good thing I tipped the hostess when we entered on we may not have gotten that table. The main dining room looked nice, but unfortunately we were not in it. (Keep that in mind if you plan on going) The food was average at best. My Linguine was over-cooked and my wife’s Rigatoni sauce was very watery. Upon further reflection my wife and I decided we could have gotten a meal of the same or better quality at Olive Garden for half the price. We only ate half of our meals at best and I was surprised when the maitre d or head waiter didn’t ask us if we liked our meals. Not an elegant, high level experience. We won’t be back.

Just had a wonderful dinner at Castelli’s. The service, atmosphere and food were all 5 star. We were at table 25. The waiters were so kind and attentive; very professional, but also very friendly. My friend and I shared the capote salad-the chefs kindly divided the salad beautifully for us before sending it to the table. We both loved it. Don’t worry about the anchovies being too salty; they were mild and delicious. My friend had chicken piccata, I had the linguini bolognese. Both were delicious as was the complimentary garlic bread. Don’t hesitate-make a reservation. I think you will be very glad you did.

This was our second visit to Castelli’s and we enjoyed the general atmosphere again. The food (linguinis, pork chops) was well prepared and the server paid good attention to our needs. However the limited space didn’t allow for a first rate table. We will return to Castelli’s in the future, thank you for keeping this restaurant successful and a Happy New Year to all!

Crab legs were only thing acceptable last night. My goodness how bad can it get!!! We ordered 2 orders of chicken parmigiana and one of the specials which was the filet sliced into 3 slices on top of pasta which had to be returned back to the kitchen. The pasta which was served with the chicken parmigiana, what can I say. It was so bad none of us were able to eat it. it tasted spoileI. You know when cottage cheese stays and spoils in the fridge, it gets that god awful smell, well thats what it tasted like. I nearly gagged. Plus the charged $7.00 for 3 extra bowls?? Why we ordered 2 chicken parmigiana’s.2 pasta should come with and if the charke for 2 extra fine. Anyway no one was able to eat it because it was horrible.
