My brother and his fiancee had his rehearsal dinner here tonight. The food was excellent. Nice fun atmosphere. Service a bit slow but we were a huge party. I had the salmon which was tasty.

My wife and I dined here twice and had a great experience both times. Sharon and the staff do an outstanding job of service and are extremely accommodating and friendly. On both occasions, we started with drinks and an appetizer. I had the 16 oz NY Strip steak which was done to perfection. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass which she said was incredible. Desserts were also very impressive. Despite it being extremely busy, the atmosphere was very comfortable and clean. I’m also very impressed with the bar being enclosed therefore limiting any noise. Highly recommended.

I love this place. From the outside you wouldn’t even notice it. But once you get inside it has a classic steakhouse look and feel.
The staff is amazing and makes you feel like family. The food is fresh. If you want a light meal, I would recommend their chicken wings. They make their own sauce and it’s wonderful.
But if you’re ready for a real meal, have the porter house steak. It literally reminds me of a steak you would find on the Flintstones. It can serve 2-3 people and is cooked perfectly. It doesn’t need steak sauce but you should try it with their home made steak sauce. My mouth is watering just talking about.
The only bad thing about this place is that parking can be tough and it can get crowded because it is so popular and good.

Had dinner here on two different occasions, although it was a full house on both nights, Tony managed to get us seated with out a reservation. The service, hospitality and food were great. I had the rib eye with sidesfor dinner and really enjoyed my meal. For starters I had the tuna tar tar and it was delicious. If your in the mood for a great steak. Give it a try.

One of the worst dinners I’ve had in a long time. Poor management decision to accept reservations that the scheduled service staff could not handle. After taking our food order, we never saw him again. Our food was delivered by the kitchen staff by asking who had what, no one checked back to see how the food was and we sat with dirty plates forever trying just to pay the bill and get out of there. Poor server had the entire room to himself with not an empty table in sight and with nothing but unhappy patrons to deal with. We paid $60 a person and could have done better at Denny’s! I feel cheated! And unfortunately, it was a special evening for our family that we tastefully got through the evening without allowing the experience to effect it. Maybe we hit an evening that someone called in sick? We will find out if I get a response from management. Otherwise, stay away.

Just had maybe my worst dining experience at the Chop house grill in Mahopac. My wife and I had a $100.00 gift certificate and went to use it. We had reservations for 7pm. We were totally ignored at the door for a good fifteen minutes. Then after we were seated we weren’t acknowledged for another twenty minutes. Finally we had a waiter ask about drinks.We ordered our appetizers and meal at this time. About 45 minutes later we received our appetizers. When we told the waiter the appetizers were not edible he said he would get “The Boss”. After that we were totally ignored again until the meal came 1/2 hour
later. The meal was good even if it two hours to get it. The owner / managers finally came over after the meal was done . He kept complaining about the gift certificates. Why did he sell them for fifty dollars if he couldn’t cover them.Stay away from the chop house grill. You couldn’t have worse service.

We are never disappointed The Chop House has great food and there is always a friendly face in the crowd… We love the seared tuna and steak tips . I think we love everything we’ve eaten there. The drinks are amazing ..especially the very dirty martini Jason makes for me with lots and lots of garlic. Sunday brunch is exceptional.

Although the server and service was really quite good, the food was a big disappointment. This was our second time – figured we’d give it another try- the quality of the food is just not good . Having already had burnt chewy expensive steaks we opted for chicken. The chicken dishes were rubbery and hard to swallow.For the same money I could have grilled some nice steaks on my own grill – twice ! We will not be returning.

Went here on Valentines day, was very busy as you can guess and they were short handed but they completely made up for it. Service was on point, and food came out very quickly after we ordered it. Amazing staff and always amazing food. Best steak I’ve had in my entire life.

One of my favorite steakhouses. The porterhouse for 2 special is what I’m there for every time I go in. The waiter Rob is the best, extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable. Usually only try and go when he is working because of his stellar service, not saying that the other servers aren’t great as well, definitely a very seasoned steakhouse staff
