We arrived around 11:00 PM after the opera, expecting perhaps a quiet late meal, but what we experienced was something far more memorable.
Walking into Bofinger feels like stepping into another era of Paris. The magnificent Belle Époque dining room, glowing under its historic glass dome, immediately transports you back in time. The atmosphere is elegant yet warm, with the kind of old-world charm that reminds you why Paris is still considered one of the great culinary capitals of the world.
Even at that late hour, the restaurant was alive with energy and hospitality. The service was impeccable—attentive, gracious, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel as though late-night guests are always part of the tradition here.
The food was exceptional. Every dish was beautifully prepared, rich with classic French flavor, and presented with care. From the first bite it was clear that this is a kitchen that respects tradition while delivering true culinary pleasure.
The wine and cocktail selection deserves special praise. The list offers a wonderful variety, making it easy to find something that pairs perfectly with the meal—whether you are in the mood for a refined Bordeaux, a crisp white, or a classic cocktail to finish the evening.
Dining here after the opera felt perfectly Parisian: elegant, relaxed, and timeless. Bofinger is not just a restaurant—it is an experience that captures the spirit of historic Paris.
If you want to feel what it must have been like to dine in Paris a century ago, while enjoying outstanding food, excellent wines, and truly wonderful service, Bofinger is a place you should not miss.
There is art in every inch of this building.
The staff are perfect and friendly.
Very high standard of service.
The food is amazing. This is real French quality food.
The ingredients used are at a very high standard as there is no artificial after taste you might find at other restaurants.
The prices are great. Very surprised at reasonable prices.
The dishes are large and could easily satisfy very hungry people. You will not leave hungry after visiting.
This is a place I would 100% recommend for a real Parisian experience.
It easy to see why this place has been open since 1864.
I would recommend booking in advance or coming at an off peak time.
There is plenty of comfortable seating but it is very popular especially with locals.
Order some crepe Suzzete and watch a flaming show!
What you can take here is the atmosphere. The oysters were so thin. Fine. The fish & chips were the worst I had. They were like fried again, tasting so dull. We ordered lemonade, serving us a bottle without opened. Am I supposed to bring my own bottle opener? And the staffs are super UNFRIENDLY. We have 7 of us, not everyone were served with all cutleries. The waiter took away our plates without asking us.
Wow, it really blew my mind. Never visit again in my life.
The lobster was cooked to perfection, full of flavor, and the sole was elegant in its simplicity — delicate, precise, and exactly as it should be in a grand Parisian brasserie.
Service was professional and smooth throughout the meal, and the stunning Art Nouveau interior makes the entire experience feel timeless and special. Bofinger is not just a restaurant, but a true Parisian experience.
Bon Appetit!
