The fried green tomatoes had a very hard thick coating, and the inside wasn’t cooked yet. The lettuce on the burger was one thin limp piece. Fish was good.

I didn’t even take pictures, this food was so good. “That was stupid how good that was” was the first thing my husband said after we ate our burgers in complete silence. Holy. C. O. W. The restaurant itself is decorated with items from a museum from the original Wilcoxen’s dairy bar. There are photos, each with a description of what’s pictured, around the room from Columbus, MT, Wilcoxen’s and Whistle Stop that date back as far as 1929. All their ice cream is Wilcoxen’s, and their beef is all from a local ranch in Columbus. AMAZING atmosphere. Food to die for. 12/10 absolutely recommend

We are driving from Washington to Tennessee and we were getting hungry. My husband found this place on google maps and told me they had fried green tomatoes. I was got excited and we decided to give it a try. The place is really well taken care of and clean both in the dining area and restroom. I got the bacon cheeseburger with a side a fried green tomatoes and my husband got the mushroom Swiss burger. The burgers were really flavorful and juicy! I’m from the south and was raised eating fried green tomatoes so I know good ones when I have them. Theirs were battered in corn meal and delicious! This place beats out fast food any day! If you are in the area and hankering for a burger, you really need to give this place a try!! I love that they get the beef locally and you can certainly tell! We will be back next year!!

Great place to check out for nostalgia and good eats. Old time soda fountain style diner with solid menu selection at affordable prices. They are expedient but be prepared to wait as get very busy at peak times
