At this point, shut this location down and start over.
Customer Service is beyond horrendous-
Walked in, no one acknowledged me- Restaurant completely empty- With the exception of one other gentleman who’s waiting in the pick up area near the register- I Waited at the counter for 10 minutes. No one acknowledged me and said I’ll be with you in a moment or anything.
A lady finally comes from the back and brings a bag to a DoorDash driver, the gentleman who is waiting in the lobby near me, asked her how much longer he needed to wait for his order that he’d been waiting on for over 25 minutes -for one sandwich, the lady was very dismissive and rude and told him ” you’ll just have to wait. I’ll be with you when I can. “
The gentleman went on to tell her that they have no sense of urgency and poor Customer Service and then the lady asked him. Did he still want his food or not?
This was enough for me to about phase and turn around & exit! I have not been to this location in a while, now suddenly, I remember why I stopped coming. A real change in structure and management needs to occur here. The way that employee spoke to that elderly gentleman should truly be cause for termination. A restaurant this size- nearly completely empty with no customers? (& still SLOW) And a part of a large franchise? Hmmm- I guess the red flags were there when I walked in the door. I won’t be returning through those doors. Not a lot of dining options in Shreveport, it’s sad that this is one less option due to poor service.

Very friendly staff. Very good food. The seats could be cleaned. The water tastes awful, but that might be a Louisiana thing. The tea tasted strange because of the water. The spud and the nachos were outstanding. Even the kids pizza was good. If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll be back.

We stopped by today as it is FREE Ice Tea Day ! They do this yearly, so next year be sure to Google when.
If you have the app, it’ll remind you, but not till the day of.

Anyway…. We come here often. It midi be good or we would bit frequent it as often as we do.

It’s a nice, little deli with great food. A selection of sandwiches, soups, and even baked potatoes.

We have tried a variety of items and they are just smashing !!
They have more than just ice tea for drinks. They have flavors to put in your tea, like mango. Along with fountain drinks. Dunno if they have coffee, I should imagine so, tho !

Fenton has been there a while. He is the lovely guy who brings your food to you, refills your drinks, and makes sure you have a great visit !! Thanx, Fenton !

I’ve been to a few McAlister’s in my travels and no major issues at any of em. They are all clean and inviting.

They do have a kids menu if you have little ones. No playground, but still a good place for a family meal.

Made a pick up order today which was supposed to be ready at 1:32. First off they had MANY people waiting for their orders. The cook in the back had a hoodie on, no gloves, no hair net, no apron, and no hat. A woman had been waiting an hour to get her food so she was demanding her money back. Their food certificate had expired this past November with no update. Very unclean kitchen from what I could see. There is no telling what’s actually back there with a full view. I am just disappointed, what was supposed to be a 15 minute wait turned into 45 minutes. And they only had three people working. It is a Saturday. Very disappointed in my experience and will not be going back to this location.

We attempted to eat here on a Friday night and there were 2 workers seen in the kitchen. After about 15 minutes of waiting, a worker walked out and acknowledged another customer and disappeared again. After waiting another 10 minutes, we decided to leave.
No excuse for this. No wonder everybody is at Newk’s. Do better McAllister’s.

The restaurant needed a little TLC but overall, not terrible. The employee that took the order seemed like she didn’t like her job, but the young man who brought my food was very friendly and asked if I needed anything else. The food, itself, was really good. I had a grilled chicken salad with honey mustard dressing. LOVE the lemonade!!

The food is good. The times I’ve been there the crew has been nice. My only complaint is cleanliness. IMO it needs professional help deep clean and hopefully they can just keep up with it. Price is fair.

We waited at the counter for 20 minutes without being acknowledged but they looked at us several times. it wasn’t busy at all. then 2 separate couples came to get refills and informed us that one had been there an hour and still no food. and the other and hour and some change and still nothing. i went in just for a sweet tea which takes 5 seconds. i ended up leaving after hearing how everyone had been waiting an unexceptionable amount of time.

Although the food seems to have become extremely overpriced since the last time I ate here, I still enjoyed my meal. It was well prepared but it was not worth the amount of money I paid for it. The service, however, was a bit shocking to say the least. I’ve always been a fan of McAlister’s and I’ve never eaten at one where the service was bad. So this is a first for me where the service sucked. As soon as we walked in, there were three employees standing there talking. One went to the back and the two others continued talking. They never greeted us when we walked in, which was awkward because there was literally no one else in the restaurant at that time, and never offered to take our order. So fine, we spoke up and she takes our order. I’m not given a receipt, I’m not told thank you or even given a smile. We didnt see a smile the entirety of our time there! Nothing else was said until our food was ready and they screamed at us to come get it from the front. The girl who is supposed to be working the register spent the entire time back in the kitchen flirting with the boys, sometimes loud enough to be heard across the restaurant. She also stayed back there while another customer and I were standing at the front waiting. And waiting. And waiting. After so long, I verbally called out to her “Ma’am? Ma’am!” Nothing. Yes, she heard me. It was her decision to ignore us and finish her conversation with the boys in the kitchen. The situation was extremely uncomfortable for me and my family, who were with me, because we genuinely felt like an inconvenience to the staff. We did not feel welcome at all. We will be back to McAlister’s in the future, but it will not be this one.

The girl at the front counter was Not up to the job. My food sat ready for me to pick up at the window for almost 15 minutes before the cook asked me through the window if I had been helped, while I was pacing. The place was dead, and there was no excuse for such poor service. I think you can kiss this franchise goodbye soon, too. Just like the poorly managed location on Mansfield Road. I will never be back. It felt a little like reverse racism to be honest. I don’t need that.
