The chicken katsu tastes bitter and is very hard to chew on, feels like it had been fried over and over again many times.
The wings weren’t even fully cooked as you can see blood inside in the pic.
Not to mention that they got our order wrong by giving us 4 wings and 3 drumsticks instead of 3 wings and 4 drumsticks. If you think the mistake was because of all wirk done in a rush, you are wrong. Wait time was at least 25min while there is NO line in the store.
This location is a huge damage to the Bon Chon brand. No customer would ever try other bon chon location after experiencing the Bayonne one.
The flavor has nothing to do with Bon Chon in Ktown Manhattan, wait time is incredibly long for a fried chicken place, and poses health danger with uncooked chicken.
I suggest someone examine their kitchen and how they’ve been recycling the inventory. I wouldn’t be surprised if surprise is found there.

Tried it the first time and really liked the food. Glad to have bulgogi near me when I cant make it to a Korean restaurant thats further away! My man & kids loved it and so did I. Had to bring my sister and her man to try it! They have a lot of different options, which is good! Deja took our order, and also gave us some recommendations!

I had an amazing experience at Bonchon! The chicken was incredibly delicious — perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The fries were super crunchy and fresh, just the way they should be. On top of that, the service was fantastic. Kylia took great care of us the entire time and made the visit even better.

Deja, the attendant at Bon Chon Bayonne, NJ location was courteous, friendly, attentive, and provided outstanding customer service to my family and me. Only 10 min prior to her closing down the restaurant for the evening, she went above and beyond and ensured that my family and I were really taken care of and happy that were going to bring home the freshest chicken and yes it was! As soon as our order was ready, she quickly delivered the food directly to our car even without us asking! Thank you Deja for going above and beyond! I had an amazing experience at Bonchon. The service was exceptional. Deja took really good care of me. She was courteous, gracious and checked on me frequently. The food was great. I believe I met one of the cooks, Curtis, he was awesome. You could tell he takes pride in cooking and he had every right to. The chicken was perfectly crisp. The spicy sauce was A++. The potstickers were crispy in all the right areas which is rare. Curtis was very down to Earth and even made me laugh. Overall, the experience felt like being around family and I can’t wait to visit again.

I don’t know if this is all bon chons or this specific location, but the recipe has definitely changed from the original. I used to be a regular in Manhattan and decided to order their boneless chicken – they used to be tenders but now they’re little meatball looking things that are super oversalted. The breading to chicken to sauce ratio makes no sense on these, I’m basically eating all breading.

Walked in there twice today Friday 9th 2026 to do Uber eats heard it was a good spot to eat was gonna order myself something to eat but the young lady there at the counter at the register light skin black girl had a very bad attitude, bad energy I even said, how are you doing? How’s everything greeted her very nice. She continued to roll her eyes at me as I asked for the order very rude. I was surprised never had a problem there before felt very uncomfortable. Someone needs to talk to her. I wouldn’t waste my money here. I would love to try the food, but not a very good start to my new year.

The portions were good for the price we paid. I definitely can’t complain about the size of the chicken wings! The service was also good as we were humbly welcomed and treated kindly during our visit. The wait times were as expected during opening weekend. The only thing I would recommend is getting a working AC, so the workers don’t have to cook in such a hot environment when it’s 90 degrees outside. Nonetheless, I will be going back again!

I recently ordered 20 pieces of wings, requesting that half be served without sauce and the other half with Soy Garlic Sauce. Unfortunately, the server failed to confirm my request, and I ended up with all the wings having no sauce. The chicken took a long time to come out, and when it did, it was tasteless. The overall experience felt like I was begging them to serve me. The service was poor, with no smiles or welcomes. And to top it off, their payment system asked for a tip.
