Firstly I want to say that this establishment was a lifesaver for my family. It’s unassuming storefront and location made it as perfect place to eat dinner at a crowded weekend in Mammoth. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The lighting is dim in there so bring out a light of you have bad eyes like I do! Lol.
We started with the pork pot stickers which were not bad. The egg drop soup was warm not more reminiscent of chicken soup with hoisin sauce added for flavor. The low mein noodles were recommended but we’re a bit greasy (not unexpected to be honest since it always is) and reminded me of the noodles from Panda Express. The spicy shrimp was decent and had some heat. The chicken with green beans was also ok. I want blown away but it was a pleasant meal in general.
I’m torn about this place. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food then this is not the place to go to. If you’re looking for a place with friendly staff and some food that is tasty with a slight “Asian influence” then this is the place for you.

The food was ok. It wasn’t quite authentic Chinese food. Everything was just different. The service was good and there was no wait when we got there. The dining area seemed really dark. I had to use my flashlight to read the menu. Overall an ok experience.

The food is literally inedible. We ordered sesame chicken and orange chicken. I was Hard pressed to find any chicken in the servings. Mostly batter with sauce. And what tiny bits of chicken it had, were fatty and dark meat Normally these dishes are made with white meat.
The fried rice was not fried rice. It was flavorless old steamed rice with soy sauce or something dripped on it.
The spring rolls were mushy and uncooked inside. I spent Like $75 and threw it all out. Absolutely disgusting food.
Please have some pride In your restaurant and stop ripping people off with your inedible food.

I ordered for take-out. The food is decent especially for a mountain location. The service was fast and friendly. I’m not sure why this place seems to get so low reviews, it was fine for me. 4 stars.

It used to be better than average food, but today it was the worst Chinese food I ever had. I can tell the chef is not Chinese, everything was seasoned by a bottle of oyster sauce. Fried rice is not fried, string beans were never blanched or sautéed, no garlic, no ginger seasoning , all food is from the same bottle.
Only thing nice was the waitress, she was very nice and pleasant so thus two stars instead of one.

We have eaten at wok n roll over the last few years during our stays in Mammoth. This is a family owned restaurant that has good quality Chinese food in a town that doesn’t provide many options for Chinese. We’ve enjoyed our meals here and especially like the shrimp with vegetables and the fried rice. My kids love the orange chicken as well. We will always make this one of our dinners out when in the mood for Chinese. By the way it’s reasonably priced as well!

Okay, we were wary about all the bad reviews, but we’d been here last year and had a great time, so we figured – let’s give it a try?
So we had dinner here. And honestly, I don’t know what all those one-star reviewers were smoking. This is a perfectly cosy restaurant with delicious food served piping hot within minutes (I swear – spring rolls in two minutes and two entrees in five minutes). We asked for spicy, they delivered spicy. Generous portions and reasonable prices. And we were served by a very sweet lady who kept checking in on us.
Folks – ignore the bad reviews. This is your go-to place in Mammoth Lakes for a hot Chinese meal!

Ordered 3 items and receipt showed as one line item “ custom item “. They also added a 3% credit card fee. Then tip was added without consent. I asked manager why my receipt had the extra charges and she pulled a posted notice from the wall telling me 3% credit card fee is paid by the customer. Then she said tip is also mandatory on to go orders. Well told her it’s my first time and not gonna read memo on the wall! Why not just inform me as I did not sign for the added charge. Cancelled my order and was given cash refund instead of voiding the original credit card sale. This business is very shady. Manager was rude and didn’t care about selling food or providing satisfactory customer service.

I never leave reviews but this place was so much better than expected I had to speak up! Previous reviews claim the food isn’t great & it’s greasy, my experience was superb! The Chinese chicken salad was full of veggies & variety of lettuce & cabbage & very fresh with great dressing! The chow main was cooked perfectly & hot! The potstickers were the crispy kind & very good. The service was great, we disappointed that they weren’t serving soup for summer (maybe they could advertise that) but I’m so glad we chose this place!

I decided to try this place despite the reviews. So glad I made that decision and don’t think some of the negative reviews are genuine. It’s a little outdated inside, but the food was fantastic. I had one of the better kung pao beef dishes I have had in a long time. Service was just fine. If you like Chinese food, give this place a try.
